I got yesterday's pretty quickly. I focused on the time frame, a couple that was married in 1930; that ruled out a lot of comic strip couples. I first thought of Lil' Abner and Daisy Mae, but he avoided marriage until much later. I also thought of Krazy Kat and Ignatz, but I doubt they ever married.

I had no cable or internet this afternoon/evening, sorry for posting late.

So, the Apollo 13 clue yesterday was a mess. For starters, Commander Lovell's communications were not made to a single listener, but to a whole bunch of people in Houston. Whether 'addressed to' technically means a single person, I don't care, it is intentionally confusing. I mean, just ask about a more obscure fact, than taking a widely known fact and obscuring it with clever wording. At least for final, use your tricks in the flow of the game.

I recognized it immediately, but I was recently reading the wiki pages about astronauts, so I had it on my brain. Another wagering fail; the dude in second place would've won with the proper bet ($1001).

Comedy is tragedy minus time now, I see.

The Tuesday question sounded like a cheesy 70's soul tune or jingle, so I tried thinking of songs for about 5 minutes past the alloted time before I finally decided it was probably that Houston we have a problem thing.
