NBA Finals

Post by Jerloma »

I know that nobody cares about basketball anymore but a great game tonight. Spurs up by 2 with 30 seconds left. Heat completely lock down Parker, he's on the ground with a second on the shot clock, sprouts up and gets off a banker that drops with 6 seconds to go. Called a basket on the floor and it was so close on the replay that they had to uphold it. I think he got it off by the cuntiest of cunthairs. Great games from Parker and Duncan. LBJ had a triple double with 19 boards but only 18 points and 10 assists.

Spurs are just a better team.

Anyone catch the balloons on the hose hound in the crowd to tonight?

Very entertaining game. Spurs owned the 4th quarter. And Raptor fans enjoyed Bosh's 3 point prowess.

Fantastic game. The whole time it felt like that Spurs comeback was inevitable. Glad to see it.

Spurs are just that good. Hoping for the sweep (in part so people will stop acting like the Grizz sucked for getting swept...taking that Spurs team to two OT games and another close loss isn't something to be ashamed of...)

You shoot 7-10 from the arc, yet trail by five at the half? Not so good, San Antonio. And Bron only scored 4.

Still shoving Bill Simmons down our throats, ABC/ESPN. I can tell you this will not work out.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

of course you don't like it. abc doesn't include thinking individuals in their target demographic.

This James kid is going to be a good one - mark my words.

And you know, ESPN has proven the Peter Principle by trying to make Bill Simmons a star.

Not finals, but NBA talk....odd that Kidd retires and gets a head coaching job immediately. Seems like he should be a good coach, but managing the players will be interesting for a bit I think.

As much as I like this Danny Green story, him going to God first on each interview is getting annoying.

why is it amazing that the season comes down to making free-throws? close games come down to that.

bottom line, lebron shits his pants in the last 2 minutes and can't get it done. 5 point game with 28.2 to go.

eta: and right after i post this he nails a 3 to bring the heat to within to 2 with 20 to go.

I had the sound off, why was Duncan not in the game the last ~20 seconds?

The better to defend against the 3. Sacrifice rebounding, though. And Bosh grabbed the crucial board. And Pop was out of time outs, so the final possession in regulation they had to inbound full court with 5.2 seconds.

Sloppy, sad game. Bron did not play like the king of basketball down the stretch, except that three.

True that. Leonard gets 2 FT attempts with 8 seconds left with a 2 point SA lead. Misses the first and makes the second. Ray Allen drains a 3 to send the game to OT.

Best NBA game I've seen in a long time. No way the Heat lose hong now, right? Spurs looked deflated at end of OT.

Also, LeBron is good at basketball.

A really good game.

While there will still be radio honks deriding LeBron for God knows what, his 4th quarter performance was one for the ages.

He did have 2 pretty bad turnovers at the end. But he played like a beast in the 4th quarter.

I think game 7 is a toss-up. No way the Spurs are rolling over. It will be about who catches momentum at the right time.

LeBron had a nice 4th quarter but he really looked like he didn't trust his teammates at the end of it, hence those terrible turnovers. If not for the missed free throws, that would be on him.

I'm not buying the preset narratives. Put me down for spurs winning game 7 by 15. Heat had to use a lot of emotion and energy to steal that game 6. I think they are done.

Lebron looked pissed at the rest of the Heat the last 3 minutes or so of regulation. Even though Allen and Bosch came up big after, got to think that is going to carry over to Game 7. Put me in the Spurs win camp.
