This is an older story but an interesting one about Chris Bates.

Bandwagon fan of the 2023 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!

Probably doesn't help that the Tigers are 2-6 and his predecessor, Bill Tierney, won 6 national championships. I'm guessing Tierney could have decked a few opponents before he got the ax.

Re: Princeton Coach getting some time off for bad behavior
Tierney has a terrible reputation among the college officials. He and JHU's coach are not well liked at all.Shirley wrote:Probably doesn't help that the Tigers are 2-6 and his predecessor, Bill Tierney, won 6 national championships. There is some chatter on the message board that Bates was in the last year of his contract and at risk of not having it renewed. Not sure if that was true or not. It will be interesting to see who Princeton looks to for their next coach.
