What's sad for my survival skills is my immediate reaction when it put it's head up there like that was to want to pet it. It looked so much like the face my dogs make when they come to me and put their head in my lap looking for some scratches.

We had a discussion on one of these Swamp versions about crazy John McAfee, creator of the eponymously named (and hated) antivirus software. If you recall, he had moved to Belize and gone batshit crazy (maybe in the other order) with drugs and sex and had likely killed his neighbor.

Well, it turns out the dude may BE crazy, but he also has a pretty good sense of humor.

Forget about Lying Mr. Castillo. What about his doctor who willfully and gleefully perpetuating it? Go after his ass, because he's the real problem.

It should be expected that people are going to try and weasel & worm their way into every free benefit possible. That's just human nature. But the real culprits are the insiders. The doctors perpetuating bullshit injuries, the civil service agents too damn lazy to properly investigate the claims, the good-ole-boys network good ole boying it up. Go after those fuckers. Then I'll be real impressed, and then I'll think something might actually get done.

True, but she can only go off on the person in front of her. She knows she wasn;t ending fraud by going off on the weasel, but she earned the right to go off on him, and I'll applaud it without reservation. Fuck that weasel, I hope they make him pay back whatever he collected plus interest.

Whatever your drug of choice, be it sobriety, hash, grass, booze, snort, guzzle, or things unbeknownst to me, wire it up and watch that. If you are an indie film fan, that is going to shoot straight to the top of your list.

The Adventure of Faustus Bidgood is a raw masterpiece. Yet far beyond Jarmusch. Far beyond the Euros. I can't say enough about it. A gift to film. And a brilliant literary criticism of the society it depicts. Joycean, almost.

Thank Swampness that there is no current Confessions thread because my later on eventual involvement with some people from that film in other projects is, well, that which would make the offspring of an acid-tripping Caligula blush.
