Massachusetts: 13 years
Florida: ~ 1 year (?)
Texas: ~ 1 year (?)
California: 2 years
Louisiana: 5.5 years
Arizona: 4.5 years
New Mexico: 3 months and counting

(Also did time again later on in Texas (basic training) and Mississippi (first tech school) totaling 8 months when I enlisted.)

Legal state of residence, Nevada. The last 13 years. Tax purposes and the intent to move there when I'm retired.

I can't remember exactly how old I was when we moved the Delaware. I know it was before kindergarten, but I also still have some memories of the old farm house we lived before moving to my parents' current house, so I couldn't have been too small. I also roomed on campus up in NJ the summer between my junior and senior years, so the last time I stayed at home for more than a couple of nights was probably the summer of '95. My official address was still DE up until the summer of '97 when I graduated, but NJ may have claimed me well before that.

Holy shit, Utah will overtake Illinois soon. I just realized today my law school graduation was 25 years ago next week. Half my life ago.

Never really thought of myself as a resident of New York while in college.

Yeah, I counted college too. That's why I gave Missouri four years. I guess I spent a couple of summers there too, so it makes sense to call it my home.
