I hadn't noticed that it wasn't working. I'll take a look.

I just looked at some pages in that thread and the media tag is working fine for me. Are they all broken for you? Anyone else seeing that?

Which style are you using, the new blue one (prosilver) or the old greenish one (subsilver2)?

Not sure what's up.

No tags (works for me):

Media tags (does not work for me, phpBB Media block):

Youtube tags (does not work for me, just a link and tags):

But with a different video, one that I found early in the Random Videos thread, no tags and youtube tags work, but not media...

no tags

media:

youtube:

This is all in prosilver mode.

I see all but the third police one, with the youtube tags.

And that post looks the same in the other board style.

If there is something different about the videos from youtube that allows the /youtube tags to work, I can't see it.

I wonder if something else in the Swamp user control panel is doing this.

That youtube tag is ancient and probably just doesn't work with some newer youtube URLs.

Going forward, there's no need to use the media tag anymore either. In fact, I should probably hide it (along with the tweet and vine tags), as the extension that automatically embeds stuff seems to be working quite well, and it's a lot easier to use.

I'm guessing that old youtube tag doesn't know what to do with https urls. It seems to handle http OK.

I went ahead and hid the media, tweet and vine tags. Keep things simple.

The instructions I posted above to display avatars on the right works in prosilver, but not in subsilver2. Sorry.

Yeah, I don't think subsilver ever had avatars on the right. Also, apparently it's built on an old architecture that phpbb has moved away from. That's also why it doesn't have a mobile version and why it wasn't included in the default installation. I like the way subsilver looks better than prosilver, but I use the Swamp on my phone often enough that I'm sticking with prosilver for now. I'm slowly getting used to it.

There is a command on the subsilver2 panel for avatar position, but I couldn't get it to work. These things have their quirks.

Again, great job with the upgrade. Thanks.

Anyone else's Notifications going a little bit goofballs this morning? I just got my third heads up that someone quoted me in the "Greatest fucking classic rock radio single of all time" thread, and in each case I was quoted, but in May of 2015.
