Not referring to Jhiphop. He just had a knack for this type of thing.

It's the sixth version of The Swamp. What could possibly go wrong?

Do you know about Bensell?

When I get ahold of him, I will fuck him up, but I'll try not to kill him. I'll try. No promises. Except I promist to fuck him up (for free.)HDO45331 wrote:Not referring to Jhiphop. He just had a knack for this type of thing.
Fuck, I hope not. I lost track of him.Justin is the name. Cats the game.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Re: Calling Jhiphop
To clarify it for anyone not connecting the dots, based on a post on his Facebook page, it does look like we've lost Shrew (Justin Oller). He hadn't posted hereabouts in a long time, but I always enjoyed his stuff when he did so. RIP!
He turned me on to an author that I love, and subsequently read about 10 of his books (Bernard Cornwell).

Ah damn. Played a lot of chess with that guy.
Re: Calling Jhiphop
Really? What happened? I played Words With Friends with him. Isn't he related to someone still here or am I thinking of someone else?

Suicide? He suffered depression.

BFJ is the town wizard who runs a magic shop. He also has a golem that he has trained to attack anti-Semites.

All I know is what I read on his FB page. Some friend of his wrote a death notice and a very short eulogy.brian wrote:Really? What happened? I played Words With Friends with him. Isn't he related to someone still here or am I thinking of someone else?

Still had an active game with him though he was a day away from getting timed out. I guess whatever happened was 9 days ago.
Resigned to give him a last victory. Rest in peace, buddy.

It's not much, but:
Very sad news of another friend's passing. Rest in peace, Justin Oller. My childhood friend. My high school cross country teammate and confidant. You were a tremendous source of humor, kindness, and inspiration. You loved animals and nature and had a genuine thirst for knowledge. Miss you, buddy. My deepest sympathies to your family.

Re: Calling Jhiphop
Thanks. I figuratively got off my ass and saw it. He had a lot of swampers as facebook friends. I cant find anything in the local Attleboro, MA paper, the Sun-Chronicle.

Re: Calling Jhiphop
Dammit.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
Re: Calling Jhiphop
He came to eat lunch with me at Redbones with a few other Swampers, IIRC, when I visited a while back. This sucks.
And what's this about JHiphop? Is he ok?

Looks like it was removed from his FB page.
He was/is a great guy. Helped me move my now wife into our first apartment together, it was like 95 with 95% humidity and he refused to even let me buy him a gatorade.
I truly hope the rumour isn't true.

Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Hope so. I still see the message on his FB page though.mister d wrote:Would be really cool if it were all a ploy to beat Brian.

Fuck. That really sucks.
I actually had a WWF game going with him too. Like Brian, the last move was 9 days ago.
Awful.

Just had dinner and drinks last week with timgod last week. I think he would have mentioned if something happened to jhiphop other than being husband/father.Johnnie wrote:He came to eat lunch with me at Redbones with a few other Swampers, IIRC, when I visited a while back. This sucks.

And timgod is fine, too.

Re: Calling Jhiphop
DSG, the thread title is misleading. It is Shrew (Justin Oller), that is the Swamper in question.
The facebook thread announcing his death now includes a note from his sister-in-law who promises to include a link to his newspaper obituary, when it gets published.

Yeah no offense HDO but I edited the thread title to make it clearer and to honor Shrew.
