Save a ton of candies for a bunch of different pokemon and wait to evolve them. use a lucky egg before evolving them all. I've found the guaranteed 500xp per evolution + the 50% exp bonus to be a huge guarantee boost as opposed to popping an incense and then using the lucky egg.
Kinda frustrated at how much XP it takes to get to the next level once you're up over level 20. Yes, I'm addicted. This is what happens when the wife and kids leave town for 10 days.
Until everything is less insane, I'm mixing weed with wine.

Oh, and spending a week and a half in Boston has robusted my Pokedex.
Also, "Pokemon Go and chill" miiiight be a thing this weekend. We'll see.
No one wanted to get up on my dick when I was all over this trend at 13. Never once did I hear "let's play Magic: The Gathering and fuck each other". Fuck 2016.

If we had a Like button for posts, I'd be pressing it right now.
My bowling league this week took longer than usual because so many people were playing that damned game when they weren't bowling. It gets really annoying to remind people it's their turn to bowl.

You are a far better man than I. Perhaps I ought try Pokemon as an elixir for my myriad of vices.

I've been mixing it with my other vices.

There's a dude on base who's level 31. The amount of experience points to get that high is absurd. I hit 20 a couple days ago and I'm creeping to 21. G Chedda is totally right about the jump after 20.

I'm level 22. My progress has slowed dramatically. My mother is level 23. She started playing at least a week after me. At least she's on a different team so I can knock her out of gyms.
I started playing a week after everyone and honestly have only been playing when I feel motivated. That motivation is wearing off though (like everything with me without monetary incentive) because gyms around my area have these 2200+ CP Arcanines, Snorlax, Dragonites, Lapras, Vaporeons, etc. Like two days ago was my first evolution to something over 900 CP.
Catching the more uncommon Pokemon literally requires me to visit random areas in the city. And even then, there's no damn guarantee I'll even see them. And then when I do come into an interaction with something like a Rapidash it's 29 CP! And I don't come into enough Ponytas to do anything. I'm getting bored. Plus those recent changes with the three steps away tracker and the voluntary shitcanning of Pokevision means I'm not doing much.
I'm only as high as I am because I used a lucky egg and evolved 3 dozen pidgeys and rattatas.

Was just on Yelp and one of the filters was "pokestop nearby". This shit has gone too far.

Do you live in a rural area? The lack of pokestops in rural areas means that a significant amount of people can't play the game or are forced to pay a lot to play it.

My point is that a video game or hobby (no matter how popular) shouldn't infiltrate the rest of us in the real world. We took the kids to an outdoor informational park this weekend and they had signs directing people to certain areas to play Pokemon. I just think it's way over the top that we can't search for a restaurant or go to a public area without being reminded of a game that finally got (mostly) Millennials out of the house. Get off my lawn.
