Well to be fair the only thing he did not make was the Gold Cup Roster and Copa Centenario. He has not missed many call ups since his goal against Mexico.

He missed the Copa due to surgery on a stress fracture and Jurgen went with Wondo over Morris for this summer's tournament. Wondo had 7 goals in 12 games when selections were made.

And it was a shitty decision, which we talked about quite a bit at the time. Same conversation when he was put on the Brazil roster. He doesn't produce at the international level.

The source stressed that there is some confusion over what roster mechanism would be used to add Donovan to the Galaxy's roster.
Anything they want. Because LA. Fucking Calvinball.

The "just gave up a goal in the 94th minute SuperDuperDraft"?
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

FC Dallas wins the US Open Cup 4-2 over Chicago...

Expansion Draft
5 players picked by each team (Minn and Atlanta)
Each current club will protect 11 senior players.
Generation Adidas and homegrown players are already exempt from selection.
No current team will lose more than one player

They only get to pick 5 players each? It's kinda hard to build a team with only 5 players.

Timbers loaned them Chris Klute, so safe to assume he'll be a draft pick. Add 4 more + 2 DP's and then they just need depth fodder.

ETA: and I guess some more defenders.

I don't know a ton (any) about MLS finances, but I would think those sorts of numbers would indicate that the league is doing well and growing financially. At some point, it'll start being a more reasonable destination financially for not-quite-top players, you'd think. And not just guys in their mid-30s looking to cash another few years of paychecks after a career in Europe.

Well the team values are going up and up. Look at what an expansion fee is now as opposed to even a few years ago. Makes it even more crazy Beckham can't get it figured out in Florida. He hot a sweetheart deal but can't get the stadium done.

Part of that is the state of Florida being the state of Florida. Part is the new roof/shade on the Dolphins stadium. Most of it is utter disgust for what Loria has put the fans down there through over the years. Also, the financing of Marlins stadium is an absolute travesty.

So Toronto beat Philly to move on. Tomorrow night DC plays Montreal. Drogba did not fly with the team after skipping a game 2 weeks ago because he would not start and 'back problems" in the game over the weekend. His salary matches DC united's starting salary. Playoff Fever.

RSL finished their eight-week death spiral also.

At least they made the playoffs again. But their recent performance doesn't give me too much confidence for next season.

I hate pinning losses on officiating but... yeah, that was really bad.

I was checking in and out of the game...and yeah, Alonzo should have gotten the second card on the tackle on Feldhaber.

Beautiful goal by Valdez at the death to win it. We thought initially that it had hit the side netting, not gone in.

Feldhaber had the total meltdown after the game. I thought he was going to punch the ref.

I saw a highlight of the tackle. The ref went straight to the 4th official who was right in front of the play. I think at that speed it may have been the wrong call but not a terrible one.

As for the offsides...both were close. I find linemen are generally always viewed as poor at the top levels. The game is so fast an the matter of inches on those calls are really hard. They are trying to watch the offsides in front of them and hear when the ball was kicked (because you can't see both from the angle they have). I am usually more frustrated when they call off sides because they look up well after the ball is played and see a guy running past the defender.

a beautiful goal that was more offside than Besler's goal that was called back, but yeah.

Too expensive to sign at his current rate, which means he likely going through that funny MLS free agent draft process. I am sure someone will pick him up in the 2nd stage where you don't have to pay his current salary (i.e. the DC United roster building process).

He's likely moving abroad if he doesn't stay in MLS and SKC has plenty of allocation money to buy him down -- especially given Brad Davis' retirement.
