Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Re: Arnold Palmer
I'm not sure you could have a "better" bookend piece of shit day than Fernandez and Palmer. I know its cliche, but good god fuck 2016.
Re: Arnold Palmer
Well, maybe if it was Felix Hernandez that would have had some more crappy symmetry but I hear ya.

Legend indeed...
Fernandez, Scully's announcing career and now this. Just brutal!

Re: Arnold Palmer
Nah, Felix is well past the halfway point. I guess a Len Bias -ish guy would have been slightly more symmetrical, but this is about as bad as it gets.brian wrote:Well, maybe if it was Felix Hernandez that would have had some more crappy symmetry but I hear ya.

Top 25 greatest 5-year eras. Tiger, Jack and Arnie are all of them.
You know what you need? A lyrical sucker punch to the face.
Re: Arnold Palmer
Anyone else bothered by the folks who keep saying they are going to honor Arnold Palmer by going 1/2 lemonade and 1/2 iced tea when Arnold Palmer has clearly stated the right mix is 3 parts unsweetened iced tea to 1 part lemonade? Just me? F it...honor him with a John Daly.Johnnie wrote:My ice tea and lemonade will never taste the same again. :'(

Re: Arnold Palmer
Yeah, I usually do it about 2/3 tea, 1/3 lemonade but I think you can call it an Arnold Palmer in any case.

Re: Arnold Palmer
I'm a 2/3rds to 1/3rds man myself, but I think as long as it has lemonade and iced tea is the spirit of the thing. Technically you could call a gin and tonic with a tiny splash of tonic a "gin and tonic". Though at a certain point it's just gin.A_B wrote:Yeah, I usually do it about 2/3 tea, 1/3 lemonade but I think you can call it an Arnold Palmer in any case.

When mixed equal parts tea and lemonade, the drink is called a Half & Half

Re: Arnold Palmer
No. You could mix in chocolate milk, too and still call the drink an Arnold Palmer, and I STILL wouldn't be offended.wlu_lax6 wrote:Anyone else bothered by...Johnnie wrote:My ice tea and lemonade will never taste the same again. :'(

Right that is a Half and Half. Just like this is.

So Arnold Palmer puts his name on a drink with lemonade and iced tea in it and it's not an Arnold Palmer

JFC.
One of golf's biggest icons dies and the Swamp turns his thread into an argument about the proper ratio for a crappy non-alcoholic drink.
WTF is wrong with you people.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.
Re: Arnold Palmer
He was very particular about the composition of an Arnold Palmer and was a feisty competitor. We honor him every day we continue this debate.

I once went to a restaurant where they tried getting away with calling an Arnold Palmer a Tiger Woods because, you know, you have to be hip and change things to appeal to the youngsters.
