Who does this?

Candidate Trump has no qualms about using his bully pulpit to slander private citizens - what the hell would President Trump be comfortable with?

What a fucking menace.

The fact that the leadership equivocated before falling in line behind this piece of shit speaks volumes. Unless "family values" merely means being anti-choice.

The religious right hasn't responded to Trump as well as the party would have hoped. Paul Ryan's stance is the stance of most Republicans I know.

Well then that speaks well for the religious right.

Citing porno movies probably not going to go over well with Mr. and Mrs. Evangelical.

Did you ever think you'd hear a Presidential Candidate say "check out the sex tape"?

I mean, I'm sure Bill Clinton said it plenty of times, but not out in public...

Right? From the guy who sues comedians for making a joke about him. She should sue Trump for defamation. What a fucking lowlife piece of shit. Beyond that, it has to be mental illness or a personality disorder. A healthy brain doesn't do that.

That would be a great trial - and no doubt some of the country's best lawyers would love to work pro bono on that case.

From the NY Times:
“Hillary Clinton was married to the single greatest abuser of women in the history of politics,” he added about Mr. Clinton. “Hillary was an enabler, and she attacked the women who Bill Clinton mistreated afterward. I think it’s a serious problem for them, and it’s something that I’m considering talking about more in the near future.”

Well, to be fair, she didn't leave him like a strong, independent woman who don't need no man would have done.

Because political aspirations are higher on her priority list than doing what any other woman would have done. Their marriage is a complete charade and one of seeking power. I'm pretty sure they are the inspirations for the Underwoods.

But feminists love her. And me pointing that out makes me an asshole.

And what relevance that has to do with anything, especially from him of all people, is stupid.

Trump Tax Records Obtained by The Times Reveal He Could Have Avoided Paying Taxes for Nearly Two Decades
Donald J. Trump declared a $916 million loss on his 1995 income tax returns, a tax deduction so substantial it could have allowed him to legally avoid paying any federal income taxes for up to 18 years, records obtained by The New York Times show.

That's the scariest part of all.
Mr. Trump declined to comment on the documents. Instead, the campaign released a statement that neither challenged nor confirmed the $916 million loss.
However...
The three documents arrived by mail at The Times with a postmark indicating they had been sent from New York City. The return address claimed the envelope had been sent from Trump Tower.
Dat shit cray.

So he just took a bath that year financially, push a lot of things into that one year and use the tax break later on? Legal of course, but losing over $900 million is pretty insane. The Apprentice really saved him.

The most damning thing you can say about Trump's business acumen (or lack thereof) is that if he took the $300M his dad staked him with and just put it in a mutual fund he'd be way richer than even any of the inflated claims of wealth he makes.

He spun his losses onto the shareholders, and simultaneously used the S Corp loophole to gain a "get out of paying federal taxes for 15 years" card.

The Trump Foundation needs to immediately cease accepting contributions on orders from the New York state AG.

And we find out today that he probably creams his pants to this scene in Patton:

So we've learned in the last few days:

- Trump proudly doesn't pay taxes
- Trump's foundation appears to be a fraud
- Trump shits on veterans

And the meter barely quivers.

I keep reading and re-reading the most current comment and the message following the comment he made. The latter part of the message is fluff that your typical politician would say, but the first part comes down to word fumbling and misguided intention - at first. But then it gets worse with each re-read.
“When you talk about the mental health problems, when people come back from war and combat — and they see things that maybe a lot of the folks in this room have seen many times over and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it,” Trump said. “And they see horror stories. They see events that you couldn’t see in a movie. Nobody would believe it.”
Take out the "You're strong and you can handle it" part and he's kinda right, but in the simple and simplistic way most people "fix" a very, very complicated issue.

It may be that an individual has an inability to not handle something, but that something was a horrific fucking event. And that's the worst part. It wasn't like a guy or girl got a hangnail in Al Udeid opening one of their three beers per day. They got blown up. They saw death. Bad, bad shit.

This just sucks. I wish his political grave was filed in already.

The fucking thing about it is that he equates people who can handle it as strong, effectively stating those that cannot, are weak.

It doesn't fucking work that way. Peoples' brains react differently to trauma. As usual, in Trump's universe, for every winner, there must be a loser.

There is (obviously) a lot to excoriate Trump for, but I don't see this one as a very big deal. Sure, he should not have used the word "strong" in that context, but still, wasn't he acknowledging that vets with PTSD need help? These are the sentences after the end of that quotation: "We need mental health help, and medical. It’s one of the things that’s least addressed, and it’s one of the things I hear the most about when I go around and talk to veterans.”
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

It says more about the makeup of Trump, the man that he chose to call those unaffected by PTSD as strong.

It's not by accident. It flows from him naturally.

And yeah, no shit. We need to treat our veterans with the best care available, and with dignity and respect.

Just about anyone other than Trump and you might give him the benefit of the doubt (and no one on the right is ever giving Hillary the benefit of the doubt, mind you), but his pattern of behavior makes it hard to do so. Someone who mocked a POW and all POWs really could really believe that people with PTSD are weak.

Remember that semi-defense when President Trump is pledging $750K nationally to fund his "Help the Pussy Vets Be Less Sad and Scared" bill.
