Also, with regards to the ep, champ was smart, but largely amassed that streak by way of luck. That was his 3rd or 4th poor wager in FJ! and it finally cost him. I understand being conservative in some areas (for example, I would have bet 5$ on "Brit Monarchy") but there's no excuse for that. He had played that style of "make them beat me but not beat myself" for too long.

His low-risk wager approach on final allowed him to win at least one game during the streak (maybe two, I don't remember exactly), and he was consistent. But 'Economics' is one of those categories very likely to have an easy answer (and usually the answer is Alan Greenspan, Karl Marx or Adam Smith). They aren't gonna ask you to derive the Black-Sholes equation or calculate the percent rise in China GDP over the 90s.
