Best of luck, BSF.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.

Some of these wagers these last few weeks have been terrible. There was the one in the Champ's 4th or 5th win where he got it wrong, the 2nd place got it right, but the second place going into Final didn't even bet enough to beat his current value by one. If you're in second, you can only win if the leader gets it wrong, so you have to at very least bet to be higher than his total coming into Final.
Then in the game he lost, the leader has to be to beat twice the 2nd place total. No ifs and or buts. Because if the second place is aggressive and says "fuck it, he's got to get it wrong, but I want to walk away big if I win", he'll bet it all. No excuse for leading into final, getting it right, and fucking up the wager.
Good luck BSF. And Doc, no word yet?

Nope. Odds were against. I'm still in the pool until April, (18 months after the audition) but some damn Canadian will probably get the spot I deserve. I'll try again next year. I am a better player now, I scored 47/50 on the online test last night (but only 41 the night before.)

I was gonna post this link for you last night, but it wasn't yet active. On the J!board, they recap all three tests. I used the twitter link above to take it; it runs lightning fast instead of ten seconds per question, and I think I did better at high speed, didn't overthink. And it illustrates how much luck is involved, the categories that I am weak, I happened to know what they asked (Childrens' Books, (recent)Movie Characters, Architechs, and a bunch of literary questions that I happened to hit.)
Also funny, in my commentary above, I named three common answers for the Economics category, and I almost included Paul Krugman, but didn't, and if you missed that one I feel bad that I didn't mention him.
Who knows? Maybe, you were kidnapped, tied up, taken away and held for ransom.
