I've been told the nit removal with the fine toothed comb is more important in the quick eradication of lice than anything else. We've escaped it with my kids so far, but I got it a few times as a kid.
So I'm pulling weeds over the weekend and think to myself that I got poison ivy under the same bush last year. Tons of weeds of the non-poison ivy types, so I say fuck it and don't wear gloves. As I pull the weeds, I see something that looks like tiny reddish poison ivy, but poison ivy is green, right? I decide I'll keep pulling and wash my hands really good immediately after, it'll be fine...
Somewhere in between I must have laid down face first in the poison ivy. [turns out, the plant is reddish in it's early yet still toxic phase]. Left side of my face is 50% covered, with a section above my lip and half of my chin oozing an yellowy-orange goo nonstop. It started to get bad on both my arms, but that's manageable. Last year, it was entirely on my hands and between my fingers, and yesterday I was thinking it's weird that I have no rash on my hands. Well, that kicked into high gear today. Both hands, every finger. I was on a Zoom call yesterday and I could feel the ooze sliding down my face. Tried to subtly wipe it, tissue soaked through! Unreal. I am supposed to go into the office tomorrow, I really hope the oozing stops! It seems a little better in the two worst spots, but now my cheek is starting. I'm such a fucking idiot.
