Yeah, I went and looked that up. Pretty obvious that it was a rushing league in the olden days. It looks like Charley Taylor was in the top couple in all-time receptions when he retired, and now he's not in the top 50.

I was ultimately crushed by the twin sides of age. I correctly recalled that Larry Nance won the first dunk contest. It was a big deal back then to us now old-timers. But time has faded my memory, so that I thought he did this when he was with Cleveland rather than Phoenix.
