Yeah, I guess the world is falling apart just a little bit faster these days.

Five dead praying in a mosque in Quebec City. Authorities have arrested two white supremacists. I don't know if that means the shooters are Canadians or Americans.

Either way, that's something. I guess the US now has to stop anyone entering from Canada because of the terrorist threat?

Something about this isn't adding up.

I wanted to avoid jumping to conclusions, but my first thought was white nationalism, not Quebec nationalism. My second guess would have been radical Islamists targeting moderate Muslims.

Now it looks like the suspects are a Quebecer and a Moroccan student, with one of the suspects calling right away and offering to cooperate. It makes me think one of them was being patsied by the other.

I guess we will have to wait for the investigation to unfold.

That was a fake Twitter account. One of the suspects is a white Québécois and the other is of Moroccan dissent. The white suspect did apparently have social media postings indicating he is a fan of Islamophobes like Trump, Le Pen, and Richard Dawkins.

QPP - Quebec PRovincial Police - now saying that of the two guys arrested, one is a suspect, and the other is a witness. Not releasing further details as of yet, but I think you can guess which of these two guys is the suspect, and which one is the witness.
