Dead man walking. That is precisely the kind of language that trump and his underlings use to those who they are getting rid of or are trying to distance themselves from.

Flynn was a "volunteer," Manafort was barely involved in the campaign, now Bannon was a "very late" arrival to the campaign.

Trump is Narcissus.
“I had already beaten all the senators and all the governors, and I didn’t know Steve. I’m my own strategist and it wasn’t like I was going to change strategies because I was facing crooked Hillary.”

I know this is a minor quibble, but...

Russia - US relations are now, maybe, at an all time low, according to Tillerson and Trump.

Yet another example of "who know this stuff could be so complicated" / "this is the biggest/worst/superlative thing in the history of ever" take on everything.

Just another example of the supreme narcissism of this guy.

And, another example of them being Fucking morons.

The US military has dropped an enormous bomb in Afghanistan according to four US military officials with direct knowledge of the mission.

A GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast Bomb — nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs" (MOAB) — was dropped in at 7 p.m. local time Thursday, sources said.

This is the first time a MOAB has been used in the battlefield, according to the US officials.

Military sources said the target was ISIS tunnels and personnel in the Achin district of the Nangarhar province. The military is currently assessing the damage.

This munition was developed during the Iraq War but was never used in the battlefield.

Oops.
An airstrike that was meant to target ISIS in Syria instead killed 18 Syrian Democratic Forces personnel because it was "misdirected," U.S. Central Command said Thursday.

The strike Tuesday by an aircraft from the U.S.-led coalition was called in by American allies, the U.S. military says. It adds that the coalition is now studying what went wrong to prevent similar mistakes in the future.

"The strike was requested by the partnered forces, who had identified the target location as an ISIS fighting position," the command said in a statement about the April 11 attack. "The target location was actually a forward Syrian Democratic Forces fighting position."

Central Command said the coalition extends its "deepest condolences" to members of the SDF and their families, adding that members of that force "have expressed a strong desire to remain focused on the fight against ISIS despite this tragic incident."

The strike took place south of Tabqa, Central Command says. That city is roughly 30 miles west of the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa.

News of the errant strike comes three weeks after activist groups that monitor Syria said an "airstrike by U.S.-led coalition forces leveled a school west of Raqqa and killed at least 33 people," as NPR's Colin Dwyer reported at the time.

Reports of that strike initially came from the group Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently and the the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. In response, coalition forces said they routinely strike ISIS targets in the area and would review reports of civilian casualties.

In an update on the U.S.-led coalition's offensive against ISIS in Raqqa, the joint task force's spokesman said Wednesday that the coalition was "clearing ISIS fighters from the territory in the vicinity of Tabqa."

The spokesman added that ISIS was deploying vehicle bombs, direct and indirect fire, and human shields in the area, according to Central Command.

If this were Obama dropping the big bomb that he didn't drop over almost 100 months of presidency you would all love it and say "way to go dropping the big bomb, Barack HUSSEIN Obama!" you fucking unpatriotic traitors.

I remember being at Barksdale when they unveiled the MOAB. The testing videos were pornographic.

They have to drop that mother fucker out of a C130 because no bomber plane is configured to or has a bomb bay big enough to drop it.

Of course, in that part of the world there's no journalist. Therefore, we'll just have to take ole Spicey's word for it when he tells us what a success this was.

Yup. Unfortunately Trump has realized that the easiest way to draw praise from across the media spectrum is by bombing Muslims. I wish it were just a Fox thing, but CNN and MSNBC have been pretty gross, too. And nearly every newspaper editorial board praised the Syria strike.

I just don't understand why people think that us being over there and just fucking with these sand countries for 100 years wouldn't have some of the effect that it has had. Shit, the UN was so overbearing to the UK that they had to Brexit but the sand countries should just sell us their oil and accept the freedom that we are instituting. Have a country come into the US, set up military bases, take Wisconsin's cheese and do you think we're not gonna start some militias? Fuck, we start them over estate taxes and fake shit as is.

Also....one way to engender worldwide animosity is probably to spend decades building giant bombs while disarming and neutering all the weaker countries around the world, and then, after sufficiently disarming them, start bombing the shit out of them. That sounds like a ticket to worldwide peace, the freedom of adherence by threat of force. Obama spent years daisy-cutting weddings, and it weakened Al-Qaeda! By making ISIS even stronger, but still! These people all thought it was bad policy at the time. The main difference is they were right then.

Sure, let's threaten the don't-give-a-fuck countries that have nothing to lose and would love to bomb the shit out of us....let's threaten them by showing our might and willingness to strike. That oughtta scare them into backing down.

Can everybody just spend a week telling Trump he's awesome? Like all media, spend one week telling him he's had the greatest Presidency ever. He's made tough decisions under stress, mostly by himself! And his dick is huge! CNN has verified reports! We'll have a holiday for Donald Trump's penis and how it's bigger than black penises and the small-penised Muslims and Jews will simply accept this.

Then Pence can run the country and....ah, fuck.

I love watching civilians get off to military operations. Especially civilians watching from the comfort of America. (In the context of them having never been in the shit as a military member. So it's basically a Michael Bay movie.)

Now if only those same ones gave a fuck about PTSD and veterans when they become civilians again, that would be something worth getting off to.

Meanwhile, I keep meaning to come back to something I read earlier this week having to do with that Guardian article that talks about a bunch of allies sending signal intelligence to the FBI going as far back as late 2015.

Think about that for a minute, friends. Up until many months into 2016, the Trump campaign was basically being run on a shoestring budget with a tiny group of insiders. Remember, Carter Page and Paul Manafort didn't come until spring of 2016 or thereabouts.

So... The timing of this sigint is REALLY interesting. They keep running Carter out there this week, and Manafort is being fully thrown under the bus.

But if they were capturing Trump campaign people talking to Russian officials, you're talking about Ivanka, Jared.. Corey Lewandowski? Sessions? Junior? The other dumber looking one? Donald Sr.?

I'm sure I'm missing a few more staffers, but I'm sure you see the point. Going back pre-Manafort the list of ppl that would be talking to the Russians get you very much in the inner circle. To the extent that there's really no plausible deniability for Trump.

Obviously, this is all assuming there's something to the Guardian reporting.
You can lead a horse to fish, but you can't fish out a horse.
