I thought for sure this already existed. Anyway, I had to have a back-up do my rates this month and it turns out he's a god damn sociopath.

Do you mean how he added the "2017?" Because I have literal, diagnosed OCD and that's driving me nuts.

Has to be the way Smyrna laid it out for folder names.
Also, file names all have creation date with year, month, date as prefix. E.g. 170623 xxxxxxxxx.xls. No other way to go. Multiple year files in same folder work like a gem in this format.

We do that except most of our office insists on "20170623" just in case we're still working in 83 years. (I hate it and refuse to follow suit)teeteebee wrote:Has to be the way Smyrna laid it out for folder names.

(Also interesting to me as these stories make the rounds around town here, but seldom get picked up by Deadspin or sites like that. It's almost a sport out here to pick apart bad tippers. Most of the high rollers casinos like Wynn Resorts or Sands (Venetian/Palazzo) have zero-tolerance policies/instant firing if their employees expose or release anything about their customers. I know my wife and her co-workers discuss it all the time amongst themselves but would never post anything on Twitter or Facebook or anything like that.*)

What bugs me about the math is that, even if you wanted to leave a shitty tip, it's infinitely easier to just slap an even amount onto the subtotal.

(Also, how much do you have to tip a dude that literally grabs a bottle, opens it, and hands it to you? I'm not exactly all Mr. Pink about tips, but sometimes the service industry has some uppity assholes that feel entitled.)

The 50 or 75 cents remaining because I don't want the change. It's between 10-20% when you do the math.brian wrote:How much do you tip when you go to the bar and order a bottle of beer? I imagine it's at least 10 percent.Johnnie wrote:*you're

I'd never get bottle service at a club. The markup plus implied 20% tip to show it isn't my thing. I think that a night club would be better served by commission on bottles, honestly. But I don't run a night club, so I'm sure I'm suggesting something that isn't possible or likely.

I can't speak for all service industry workers but the ones I know would literally rather you stiff them than leave an insulting tip. (This is what most rich Canadians do in Las Vegas. Pretend that Americans are too stupid to know that tipping is a thing in Canada as well.)

I remember from my bartending days - 8-10% was par for the course.

Things that bother me, as a person with actual OCD:
1. crooked table/window/floor/whatever
2. table not centered under the window
3. light not centered with the window, or between the windows
4. no neutral colors anywhere in the room
5. walls appear to be painted with gloss paint, causing an uncomfortable level of light reflection
6. walls have a bumpy, uneven surface, but without enough consistency to be a "texture"
7. miniblind is too long for window and they didn't remove the excess, causing it to bunch up at the bottom
8. two different kinds of wood used for the window moulding and baseboard
9. photo doesn't properly frame the table

Yet, did not include "window moulding and baseboard makes it look like a painting/photograph", which really bothers me.
