Swamp Wrestling Federation 2021 - Gunpowder vs. GoodKarma (Featuring BFJ and DSafe on the mic!)

Post by Johnny Carwash »

Plan is to put together a tournament of 16 or 32 (or more?) Swampers to decide our inaugural champion. Will post a few matches a week, and see about using some kind of bracket app to track things.

=== Here's what you can provide to participate: ===

1. Your hometown, if I don't have it already from the OOTP sign-up.
2. Your ring walk music! The game now lets you upload custom music tracks for the entrance scene, though it only lasts about 20 seconds or so.
3. If you have a "beef" with someone, you can call them out, and I'll try to accommodate for the first-round matchups. (We'll have to draw lots for who gets to fight Mister D.)

As for specific ring moves/behavior, that type of thing is kind of a pain to edit, but if you're really dead-set on something I'll see what I can do.

Additionally, we could have other subordinate belts, Intercontinental-style:
- Swamp New Jersey Champion
- Swamp Jewish Champion
- Swamp Canadian Champion
- Swamp Lawyer Champion
- ...etc.

A few people talked about tag teams, so I might see about some sort of mini-tournament for those.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Spin-off from the OOTP thread.
- Game used is this one: http://store.steampowered.com/app/56423 ... ing_World/
- I'm not directly controlling anything here; matches are played out by the AI.
- Posting a few here as a test. May do a more involved series/tournament once the OOTP baseball season is over, if there's interest.

No audio is perfect for bapo! and I. We can just add our own as we see fit.

It's pretty clear that bapo! is the superior wrestler. I make up for it with the ruthless accuracy of my kicks to the cock.

Love my uni. Man U kit, luchador mask, and Asics hitops.

So Carwash, when you build the wrestler, do you select the moves, taunts and things like that, or is it all random?

So it's a simulation of a simulation of a fight. Hey, at least it got Mister D's jorts right!

I overwrote the default wrestlers in the game with you guys. Customized the appearances and a few behavioral tweaks, but other than that the moves and logic are random.

Jorts are a creative flourish I can't be expected to explain.

Who better than bapo?

Chedda, your dick kicks are no match for my Tiger Suplex.

I didn't do myself any favors in that match. I left my feet for a kick seven times and only connected once. So I was inflicting a lot more damage on myself. Thankfully it didn't hurt me against a jabroni like chedda. But I'll have to be a lot better whenever I face a real wrestler.

Sabo, I've been listening to you run your mouth for years. You won't be talking when I get my hands on you at the Sportatorium next Friday night. (Tickets still available.)

He didn't count me out. He was giving you a count to get you to stop punching me in the fucking face. That's not legal, you know. You're a face-punching, dick-kicking, dirty fighter. (I'm ignoring the fact that I gave you two piledrivers, which could have broken your neck, but whatever.)

Iron Dick is finished with you. Bye bye.

Really it seems like it should spawn a series of Swampcasts discussing the draw and the various matches as we go toward crowning the SWF grand champion.

Great ideas, all. Happy to provide the material and help coordinate.

I'll continue to post some more matches here and there. Once the OOTP season is over I can see about doing a formal tournament or something along those lines.

Is there an appeals process? Between the low blows and the choking, I wasn't given a chance by the ref.

After Pruitt's debut, we know without a doubt that there are two kinds of competitors in the SWF: those who compete to win and those who compete to whine. All of my holds were released in the legally required time when prompted by the official. Therefore, I was not disqualified and my victory stands.

Guess that hockey jersey hides the yellow streak running straight up your back, Pruitt. Show up to compete or stay out of the arena.[/promo]

Yeah, the character I overwrote to create DSafe was a total heel, punching/kicking in the nuts, choking, biting, hitting with chairs, etc.

Also, I was trying to go for a Bears theme for his look but he came out looking kind of like the Gimp from Pulp Fiction. Sorry about that.

Funny.

But come this Saturday night at the Oshawa Civic Centre, you and your cheating ways will get a taste of some down home southern Ontario justice! Your dirty tricks may go over well in Ohio chief, but remember what it says on the license plates up here: "Ontario - Yours To Discover...PAIN!!"

Might I propose a double cage, loser leaves town match?

Newfoundland hell, loser goes to Nunavut!

I live in the engine room of this country, Toronto is to Calgary what New York is to Jacksonville.

Degen may be a big deal in Alberta, but over here, we have to impress more than pseudo-rednecks and refugees from Manitoba. To paraphrase the Iron Sheik - "Alberta (insert disgusting sound of phlegmy expectoration)"

For him, I'd like to suggest the ultimate battle - a match while we both wear snowshoes. Old time Canadian wrestling.

"Southern Ontario justice". Sounds like more lousy CBC programming centered around the case of the missing maple syrup. And I figured you were already busy on Saturday night, like all good Canadians, with HNIC, only in your case that's "Hopeless No-Talent Is Crying."

Top talent doesn't show up in one-horse towns like Oshawa, rube. Does Oshawa even have a building with a roof?

Take your loss and go discover the tear-stained pillow on your bed.

Oshawa too small for the Kalida Kid?

I would have challenged you to a fight in Toronto, but I was worried that the sight of a subway train would make your head spin. My loss was a fluke, caused by my inability to breathe during illegal choke holds. Vengeance will be mine, and remembe, I have an entire country behind me (Alberta doesn't count).

(Although your knowledge of the horrors of CBC programming is quite impressive).
