Well actually actually, the final was 41-14 in 2014. On to Cincinnati and all that.

The 34-3 was when the Pats beat the Chiefs in 2011 and Palko was the Chiefs QB.

Nope I didn't.

The Chiefs are a team built to give the Patriots trouble. Their personnel plus their typical limit turnover play style typically give the Pats fits. Smith has something like 600 yards 7td/0int the last 2 regular season games they've played. The 2014 game got the team fired up and they went on a 7 game winning streak, then 10 of 12 (and one of those losses was a whatever game 16) in the regular season and 13-2 including the playoffs.

That said, the Pats had a hard time getting into a good offensive rhythm last night, Brady didn't play well, and yet it was a close game and the Pats lead until early in the 4th quarter. Berry took away Gronk and after Amendola went down there was no possession receiver available, Brady likes the safety valve. He had Amendola for 3 quarters. After he went out it really went to shit.

And yes, they lost week one in 2014 (by two scores) to the Dolphins. (and it was a close game, until Miami went ape shit in the 2nd half.) The Pats have lost the opening game 4 times in the last 17 years. 3 of those times they've gone on to win the Super Bowl (2000 they went 5-11, but that was Bill and Brady's first season in NE.)

That was a bizarre game for the Lions. I think this team will be pretty schizophrenic. Still, counts as another fourth quarter comeback for Stafford even though the Lions ended up ahead by 18 at one point.

Stunningly beautiful day in Orchard Park today - went with my brother who made a gourmet meal for us (classiest tailgaters at the stadium). No delays at the border...

So everything was great today at the Bills game... except for the game. Dull battle between a bad team and a horrible team. And down by 9 with 4 minutes left, the Jets punted from their own 40. I don;t know what they were thinking.

Wondering what kind of reaction I would have had if you had told me that the 2006 Central Michigan football team would one day have arguably the best offensive player in the NFL, the best defensive player in the NFL and another guy who would be a first-round draft pick, play in multiple Pro Bowls and be in a national Pepsi commercial doing the worm (that would be Joe Staley).

Someone compiled Romo accurately predicting plays and identifying blitzes, audibles, coverage changes, etc.
