I don’t know why (some) white people are so obsessed with camouflage. They still comprise like 70 percent of the country. If they want to blend in so badly they can just name themselves “Mike” and just ... get a job somewhere.

I mean, I get what that dude's trying to say, but that overlaps nearly every rural white person ever. I know this because I've served with plenty of people that fit that exact description.
And the unicorns shall come down with them, and the bullocks with the bulls; and their land shall be soaked with blood, and their dust made fat with fatness. - God
Maybe reading to much into it but wasn't his whole point that he's flipping the script vis-vis white people who've made racist tropes out of the most insignificant details? (Ie, someone wearing a hood is probably up to no good)
I've mentioned the Calgary election on here. It's getting wild. right wing vs left wing. Muslim mayor feeling the heat, playing the race card. Accusations and finger pointing everywhere.
An incumbent candidate for Calgary city council is drawing criticism for comments he made at a public forum in which he refers to a "Johnny Jew from New York" as a hypothetical artist hired under the city's public art policy.
But after his remark brought condemnation from local Jewish groups, fellow candidates and the general public, Ward Sutherland issued a statement denying that's what he said.
"During our discussion about public art at the forum I referenced a famous New York designer with the last name of Choo," Sutherland said in an emailed statement Thursday afternoon, about four hours after CBC News requested an interview to ask him about the controversial comment.
"The point I was hoping to drive home was the importance of utilizing local artists rather than those from abroad."
Do you guys know Johnny Choo? Art designer?

I've often wondered why racists tend to think in such binary terms -- i.e. whites are in charge now, but if "libtards" get their way then the blacks will "rule" the country. Black people are still only something like 12-15 percent of the population (I forget the exact figure, but I think that's about right at least).
What series of insane circumstances do these people think would result in an apartheid state where white people are the ruled majority?

A similar question could be raised with respect to fears of Muslim dominance of Western society. Muslims are far removed from holding any type of significant political power in any Western European country, let alone the US. There was a good editorial in The NY Times earlier this week pointing out how the far bigger threat to Western societies is the far-right, white nationalist parties that have a major presence in many of these societies -- most notably in the US where the GOP dominates politics both nationally and on the state and local levels.

That would be viewed as the status quo. You can't be racist against whites argument.

That flier is discriminatory. It completely neglects the Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Sri Lankans who are also taking over Edison.
The first house the wife and I bought when we moved out of the City was in Iselin, NJ, which borders Edison. We moved out 9 years ago in large part because of the racial tensions. When we moved in, 2 different neighbors introduced themselves and said "thank God you are White." The first was a woman in her 70s or 80s in a Rascal with an oxygen tank, and the other was a couple in their 60s or 70s who were the nicest, but least intelligent people I've ever known. The husband grew up in his house, and his grandfather owned the entire neighborhood as a farm, before selling it to property developer to turn it into a standard issue suburban housing development. I get his resentment seeing his community turn from working class Italian to more than 50% Indian, but I couldn't live with people who think like that. I loved having a choice of 30 Indian restaurants I could walk to, but the main street in town really feels like being in a foreign country. 90% of the stores are cheap gold jewelry, Indian markets, saree stores... Shortly before we moved there, the town had a vote to officially change the name to New Delhi. I loved watching pickup cricket games, and I regret never asking to join in.

Those consecutive sentences have me in a near rage.

So, apparently Georgia prosecutors in death penalty cases used "W" and "N" to refer to white and African-American potential jurors in the notes they used to strike the African-Americans.
Bad times for Jews in the UK. Corbyn's backers have set up a group called "Momentum" in an effort to wholly take over the Labour party and push it back to the far left. Part of Momentum's beliefs seem to be strident anti-semitism.
There was a "debate" in the House of Parliament about the rise of anti-semitism in the UK. Tellingly, Corbyn left the chamber after this Labour member spoke.
And of course... the comments on YouTube are despicable.
He missed this amazing speech.
A great piece of rhetoric.
"beautiful, with an exotic-yet-familiar facial structure and an arresting gaze."
A group of incoming freshmen and some of their parents were touring Colorado State U. A couple admitted native american incoming freshmen joined the tour a bit late. One of the fucking parents on the tour was scared/troubled by their appearance and called the campus cops (unbeknownst to the tour guide). The cops show up, yank the kids out of the tour for interrogation. Media splash. Grrr... want to kill that parent who phoned the cops.
