I hope this doesn't come off condescending, but I don't think there's anyone in terms of being a celebrity that I'd be devastated to find out about. Even if, for example, someone I found out to be a true hero like Mandela or Albert Schweitzer, they are still men in positions of power. It almost seems like par for the course. There are few more admired people in 20th Century America than MLK, and he was an obvious horndog.

Now if I found out my Dad did some sexual bullying in his past, then I'd be crushed. But a celebrity? Naah.

I think the title of this thread, plus the alternating between theoretical "please no's" and actual new reports, are creating some confusion. Seeing Tom Hanks made me freak out for a second. Maybe re-word the title of this one, and rename the Spacey one the "actual sexual assault" thread?

The only person I would be crushed to find this out about would be my father. Aside from the obvious role model, and it would mean he cheated on my mother, my father did a lot of work to get Meagan's Law passed in New York during my HS years, and he spent a large part of his career locking up child molsetors, and keeping them away from kids when they were released. That would destroy my ability to believe or trust anything. And that is hanging on by a thread after the past year.

Celebrity wise, I don't care about any celebrity enough to be affected. Tom Hanks would be the biggest surprise.
