The Lions played about as bad a 1st half as I can imagine but were really resilient. Not sure if that bides well or poorly or what. The stupid penalties are still a concern but Reggie Bush looks like the truth.

I feel same way. I think more about the concussion stuff with every hit that makes me cringe. But I also still look forward to college football. There;s no difference. If any at least the nfl players have some recourse with their union, but I associate the debilitating injuries more with NFL, which probably isn't fair.

I didn't see it but watched enough of the 2012 Lions, and bet on them last year against Arizona, to think they've had worse first halves.

I have to admit, I found it pretty funny that the team's last OL no.1 pick spent a season recovering from a pre-season injury and this season in the 1st game, he takes out the team's previous OL 1st rounder.

However, if Bruce Matthews had done that to Mike Munchak in 1984, I would have been really, really pissed (Dean Steinkuhler may as well have been crushed by the entire OL though, the feeble legged Cornhuster twat).

Last night, when the Carrie Underwoodization of the NFL was debuted, it hit me that another reason I want the Bears to win a Super Bowl is to see Jay Cutler in the "Sunday Night Football" opening, just for the "are you fucking kidding me" look on his face.

Reminds me of the early aughts when I went to FedEx for about 4 yrs in a row. One MNF, there was a route. Birds were up big early and maintained it. I was telling the Washington Racist Fucks fans that if they couldn't beat the Eagles that they might as well beat the traffic - as they file out in the 3q.
