U.S. says Syria offer to show chemical attack sites 'too late'

So, Obama takes out Assad with a drone strike. Then what?

Fuck if I claim to know what is/was the best course of action or inaction by the US military. I guaran-fucking-tee the decision to attack at this particular time has shit to do with the best interests, (security or otherwise), of the people of the United States or the people of Syria. This is for the perceived benefit of other parties (MIC, banks, Israel, et al). Barry is as clueless about global politics as he is about economics; and is similarly led by the nose.

Sad to see similar failure scenarios play out, over and over again, in the course of the past twelve years since 9/11. Bastard snakes all, getting rich and sowing mass death and economic chaos, over and over. And no one gives enough of a shit to examine the obvious, preferring to bask in myth, delusion, and the soon to be gone false riches of manufactured debt.

(Hey, it's been a few weeks since I cut loose. I am getting shorter in my words. And, as always, FUCK THE NSA!)

On the one hand - Syria represents a strategic nightmare. ALL of the major players in the region are condensed in that little hell hole.

On the other hand - the suffering seems to be reaching biblical proportions.

On the other hand - any time the USA gets involved in the area, they piss off a lot of people.

On the other hand - everyone in the middle east who does not take Rosh Hashanah off work already hates the USA.

And like Howard says - what happens after a drone strike? Who is going to clean up the mess on the ground? President Genius' line about chemical weapons seems pretty damn idle right about now.

I've just completely changed how I feel about the Middle East. After 9-11, I wanted us to go in and wipe them out. But, the reality today is we don't do that any more, we pussy foot around to try to avoid collateral damage. If we're not trying to win a war, don't go to war. Period. that's how I feel. There is always going to be civilian casualties in war. If we are at war, we should not have to apologize for that. If we're more worried about that than winning the war quickly and effectively, get the fuck out!

Add to that the fact that the Middle East is all fucked up, regardless of what we do or don't do, and I just think we should get the fuck out. Completely out. Every boot on the ground should come home.

As sad as it is that there are regimes and governments that kill their own and do anything to gain or stay in power, I don't think we should be there at all. It's a no win for us, and it puts too many young valuable soldiers in harms way.

Get the fuck out, and let them all kill each other. I don't give a shit any more.

i feel like we would do that if another country actually declared war on us and we actually declared war on someone else, but that hasn't happened in a looooooooong time, so we're just left to being the weird world police for $$$ome reason.

U.S. saw yearlong rise in chemical weapons use by Syria
Officials cite a far bigger stream of intelligence than was reported. Some question the delay; others say a case had to be built.

So, the fact that Assad used gas in April, which was reported but not acknowledged by our government, now goes mainstream. The lie, repeated over and over and over the past week and a half that the August 21st attack was a singular offense that necessitates war right now is laid bare.

May the blatant incompetence of Obama result in his failure to go to war in Syria. What a fucking douchebag liar.

Yes, people think that's a bad thing because it would harm America's prestige in the world. These are probably the same people who want to go to war but don't have any family members in the military.
