Howlin’ Wolf self titled album also called The Rocking Chair album. Amazing lineup of songs. Described by Rolling Stone as "an outrageous set of sex songs written by Willie Dixon."

Back to to some alt.country with one of my favorites. Robert Earl Keen. Picnic. (I would have preferred one of his live albums, but...)

I was going west textures with my next pick. But that’s a good one and I totally agree with his live albums.

Not that I would ever try to, but didn't allowing a skip break your formula? Or did you make it from when I allowed him on board?

He was on the board the whole time, right? It was j-lo's 10/11 (and PDX's 11th round pick) that you added in a fit of maroon.

I timed PDX's 10th pick from when ljam made his on Friday.

I timed jerloma's 10th pick (which he made, along with his 11th, before PDX made his 10th) from the time you opened up the draft to multiple picks.

PDX's 11th pick was timed from jerloma's 11th. Another option was allowing PDX's 11th pick to be made in zero minutes, since he made 10 and 11 at the same time. But that sort of screws up my ordering by pick start, so...

After listening to the Decemberists I kinda wish I had waited...that new one is really good.
IMO, you really don't want to be stuck with an album forever when repeated listens proves your attraction was merely infatuation and not love.

It has to stand the test of time.
THis is 100 percent true. And I expect that in the end "Crane Wife" will still hold the top spot, but I'm on my third listen of the new one and it's really, really excellent.

You guys are moving too fast with this...sorry for the delay.

My pick:

Saw these guys last fall, and it was awesome. Totally anthemic songs. And this album has special meaning for me since John In the Morning would play 'Lippy Kids' as his first song a bunch during the 3 months that I was rehabbing from my broken leg. I would hear that song and get my energy up to get out of bed and start in on the 45 minutes of PT exercises I had to do.

Free for all one per day meaning each of us can put up whatever we want, once a day? (I mean, within the constraints of the one album per artist and they're off the board.

I like the one pick per day option. And if there is ever an artist that gets picked by multiple people on the same day we need to devise a horribly invasive and inevitably embarrassing method for breaking ties.

We’ll go straight up through round 12. That’s a good number and a tribute to special advisor Howard who would likely mention boxing was better when it was 15 rounds or something.

Not like anyone else is going to jump on this band but I need to get this in so sorry for the wait.

My favorite album in the Ragweed catalog and reminds me of the regret I have for never seeing them live before they called it quits. A Dimebag Darrell tribute song, a great love song, and a face melter round the whole thing out. Give this one a listen kids.

BSF's Vinyl Friday takes:

Cross Canadian Ragweed -- Garage

As a bonus, here's my favorite track. Come for the acid trip imagery, stay for the two minute face melter guitar solo at the end.

The Americana ones are tough because the live albums are so much better. Back to Tulsa and Reckless Kelly Was Here are two I'm sneaking into the cabin, regardless of what Counselor MrD says.
