Maybe I'm just racist, but in my opinion hot Indian chicks have some sort of a mystique about them that is damn sexy. There, I said it.

It's those sexy eyes! I love them.

And, with some girls, the faint, delicious aroma of curry.

There's an Indian chick at work with just the perfect juicy ass that I love. Every time I happen to gaze upon it, I end up thinking "I bet that ass smells like curry."

Just back from the city of Ottawa which, while not being a dangerous or polluted or overcrowded place, is a city that I do not enjoy in the least.

A weird mixture of government workers and homeless men, the sort of place where Gallagher probably still headlines.

Usually the Subway television commercials feature well-known athletes. So, I was wondering who is this boxer named Mike Lee they are currently featuring. Turns out he has just ten pro bouts, after an short, obscure amateur career. WTF? He must be related to somebody.

Up until this past weekend, I thought that was Alyson Hannigan in the recent Wendy's commercials. I only learned of my mistake when Brian mentioned wanting to punch the actual Wendy's chick in the face.

One of my minions is afraid that he knocked up his girlfriend, and being the ripe young age of 19 is pretty distraught with the prospect.

He was lifting something awkward and heavy, and asked for my help. Grabbed my end, then he says, "Okay, now push!"

I tell him to get used to saying that.

The look of horror on his face was incredible.

You know what I can't stand? My annoying pussy-whipped friends who always have to throw-in a "let me check with the boss" or "let's see what the wife has planned for us" anytime I'm asking them to do something away from their wives. I'm fully aware that I'm a lucky sumbitch who is in a loving relationship where we don't keep tabs on each other's time and we actually communicate what our plans are, but cheese and rice, grow a pair or at least keep it to yourself.

Case in point, I received a golf coupon on the first for 25% off a tee time that expires at the end of the month. I've been mentioning it to my friend as we typically play every other weekend, but September's been busy and this is our only mutual free weekend. We've been talking about this for a couple weeks and I finally get a response today after hounding him this week if we're going to play - "Yep. I had to sacrifice Sunday football to do so." How about trying to find your balls in her purse and trying them on again? I don't even want to fucking play now. Of course, the shit-tastic day I'm having at work may account for this hitting me the wrong way, but still...so annoying.

That's tremendous.

I'm lucky. My wife wants me to go off to the golf or curling club or cricket pitch for a few hours every week, probably just to get rid of me for a while. Everybody wins.

I'm one of those guys. What are you gonna do?

Part of the problem with us is that we both work and we have kids. Plus, her job (law professor) means she always seems to have work to do, even at home (nights, weekends, etc.). So free time is quite the luxury. If I say I'm going out one night with the boys for some beers, it means she has the kids alone that night and therefore can't get any work done, meaning I'm dooming her to a very late night or at least a much more stressful next couple of days.

We'd both like to get off this treadmill, but that's how it goes.

This is me as well. My wife brings home work and works late/weekends all the time. More importantly, she makes plans, tells me, and I forget constantly, so I need to make sure we don't have something scheduled that i forgot about. It isn't that she won't let me do things, just that it takes coordinating to ensure somebody is watching the kids or I don't make plans I can't keep. Which also happens too frequently.

Leaving my wife for extended periods (non work related) is always a challenge. By the time I get home, she is usually done with my kids, and by extension, me. I have turned down tickets to both Ravens games this season because it really is an all day affair and I can't do that to her.

The Sybian wrote:My favorite artifacts I brought back include a Mayan-style ceramic mask. Not really a mask, but a wall plaque. It has a scary face in the middle with 3 masks separated in half, each slightly further away from the face in the center. Love it. I also got a chess set chiseled out of stone that is mostly a jade color with flecks of grey, and the pieces are Mayan themed. The rook is a temple, etc... Never been to Cancun, but I imagine they have a ton of dirt cheap cultural crafts that are really cool. Puerta Vallarta was loaded with it, and you could bargain them down to a few dollars.
Some closure. I never did ask for anything. Always feel guilty about asking for anything. My wife, on the other hand, has no qualms at all; she ended up suggesting (without me knowing) a set. Got it today!

I dare say it's rather suave. I quite like it anyway.

The engraved inscription on the board reads "Chichen-Itza Nueva Era 2012".

Good thing the Maya miscalculated. I'd have never received it!

Jackie Robinson wasn't the first black player in MLB. (Thank you, Ken Jennings)
The Debunker: Was Jackie Robinson the First African-American in the Major Leagues?

It’s hard to overstate Jackie Robinson’s achievement—and grace under pressure—when he made his major league debut during the 1947 season. Yes, Robinson broke a well-established “color barrier” in baseball, winning Rookie of the Year honors while putting up with racial abuse from opponents and teammates alike. He was the only black player in baseball at the time the Dodgers called him up, and that was no accident: despite the talent obviously available in the Negro Leagues, the major league teams (and players, and fans) had a deeply engrained “whites only” view of the game. But often Robinson’s achievement is inadvertently embellished, to claim he was the first African American player ever to play in the majors. And that’s not true.

In fact, baseball’s color line had largely been a response to one man: Moses Fleetwood Walker (right), a catcher for the American Association’s Toledo Blue Stockings during the 1884 season. Walker’s major league career ended prematurely due to a leg injury and the shuttering of the Toledo club, but his post-baseball story is a happy one: he became a successful businessman, inventor, and pamphleteer for black nationalism!

But new research by baseball scholars suggests that Walker wasn’t the major leagues’ first black player either! He was the second. Five years earlier, on June 21, 1879, a backup infielder named William Edward White had played first base for the National League’s Providence Grays. He went 1-4 and scored a run in the Grays’ win, and never played again. The obscure infielder, who went on to become a bookkeeper in Chicago following his retirement from baseball, was light-skinned enough to pass for white, but census records suggest that he was the son of a Georgia plantation owner born to a slave woman named Hannah. In other words, White was black! If this new research holds up, William White was not only the first African American major leaguer, but the only former slave ever to play as well.
