Right. But he still was very hesitant to use it. Never would make on this side of the border.

In my mind, this is one of the greatest things going in the U.S. of A. The ignorance of all things iced tea up here is appalling.

Never cared for iced tea. (Confessions thread?) Or regular tea, for that matter.
If I ever move to Canada, it would be to the Vancouver area. Not too cold.

You guys are beer connosieurs... can you imagine what type of swill would be available at $1?
Ironically, the Ford family is notorious for being a crew of complete dipsomaniacs.
As a proud Ontarian (who is embarrassed by this grease ball Premier) I will defend the people of my province who elected him by saying that the previous administration was unbelievably corrupt and incompetent. My dog could have won the election against the previous ruling party.

Just for frame of reference, a case of 24 x 12 ounce bottles or cans of Blue is $36-$39, the 16 ounce cans are $49.

You mean in our plastic bills?
Going rate is 30-33%, so the case of shitty Blue will cost you $25-$35.

This should be the RW attack video on Socialized healthcare. Play some scary music and make it like an anti-drugs PSA. Actually, they would need to show black or brown people doing shit like this, and say, "if you vote Democrat, thugs will move into your neighborhood and intentionally hurt themselves and make YOU pay for their medical bills."Rush2112 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 3:53 pm Can't embed vreddit, but this is very very Canadian and looks like it hurts like hell.

Bureaucratic goobledegook is not a uniquely Canadian thing. But man alive...
(From Macleans)Team Trudeau also re-committeed to its objectives via a shuffle of cabinet subgroups. One buzzwordy change: “The Cabinet Committee on Growing the Middle Class has merged with the Cabinet Committee on Diversity and Inclusion, and has been re-named the Cabinet Committee on Growing the Middle Class and Inclusion.”

Regardless - Happy Canada Day to all you non-believers. Work is almost done and will soon be hitting the yard for some frosties and a barbeque to celebrate our freedom to sweat and drink beer.

Re: Most Canadian Thing Every
So two psychotic Canadian guys killed 3 people way up in Northern B.C. and have been on the run for two weeks.
Huge news across the country. Twice the Mounties (who supposedly "always get their man") as well as the army and local cops have said that the two killers were stranded in the woods near different villages. "No way they could survive in the bush" they said.
Basically had every K9 unit in western Canada searching an area in Northern Manitoba and had predicted that they'd turn up dead.
A couple of days later, the Mounties announced that the killers were spotted near a reservation in northern Saskatchewan. Maybe 500 miles away.
oh.
Well, surely the cream of Canada's national police force will get them this time...

I heard about this a few days ago and have been watching the news every day since then. Now, they thought they had their location pinned down in northern Manitoba, but despite huge manpower, planes, drones and every other thing, they seem to have lost them.Pruitt wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 8:04 pm So two psychotic Canadian guys killed 3 people way up in Northern B.C. and have been on the run for two weeks.

Re: Most Canadian Thing Every
Article is incorrect, they were Band Constables at the check stop not RCMP. And didn't know they were wanted at the time.
I really can't wrap my head around this one. The two suspects' actions have been so inconsistent yet it seems like the RCMP have zero indication of where they are, which is evident by sending so many personnel on a wild goose chase in York Landing off of one tip.
I know there's no point trying to understand their thought process but I'm very curious as to why they would kill three people in quick succession and then just stop.

Re: Most Canadian Thing Every
It is astounding.
There were two days of articles saying that basically, these guys had zero chance of getting out of the woods alive.
A subject for another thread perhaps, but it seems to me that the RCMP is more of a bureaucracy than a crack investigative unit.
And as for the members of the first nations' police force that let them through - God help the folks in that band. Seriously.

Re: Most Canadian Thing Every
I can't really blame the First Nations guys. They were just a check station for alcohol in a dry county. Certainly weren't on the lookout for murderers who look like innocent kids. Nobody thought they were anywhere near that area at the time.

So it turns out that the Canadian media was more incompetent than the RCMP. These killers never left Manitoba, despite what every major Canadian news outlet reported.

I would vote murder/suicide. Guess is one of them was done with being on the run and wanted to turn himself/them in. Other dude shot him then himself.degenerasian wrote: ↑Thu Aug 08, 2019 1:57 pm Just had a bet in the work lunchroom. How did these guys die?
