Where does the NFL find people to not only attend a game between 2-7 and 1-7, but be enthusiastic about it? Are these paid protesters?

If Tessitore ever calls a meaningful game, he may die.

It's become an event more than a sport. just 8 times a year.

Even that awful booth cant screw up that game in front of 100,000 fans.

People wonder why Blake Bortles can suck at everything yet dominate 4 yard crossing routes. I mean, obviously he's probably amazing at darts so it makes perfect sense.

For the record, I think it is awesome the worst coach in NFL history is back to being the coach in waiting for the Bengals. Just full blown crazy town. Embracing the crazy.

Technically, Hue is assistant to the regional manager, not assistant regional manager.

If you're a season ticket holder who has already ponied up the dough, why not attend? The Niners were on a win streak!

I'm disappointed to learn the Lions are playing again this week. Kind of hoped they'd just forfeit the rest of the season.

ETA: I very honestly don't know who they're playing though. That's a first. I presume it's an NFL team though.

Ummm... they may have themselves a very rough 14 days.

They can have Teryl Austin back. Hard to imagine a coach melding the Lions sadness with the Bengals sadness not working out. Who could have seen that coming.

You'll have your very own Las Vegas team to root for soon enough!

But.. what... why?

Astounding. Was he that good as an O.C. in Cincinnati? The fact that he is beyond Kotite as an HC is immaterial. He's also clearly a delusional egomaniac who will put the knife in others in order to make himself look good.

I figured his next gig would be at South Dakota State or Winnipeg or some place like that.

He’s besties with Marvin. True BFF stuff. That’s why. He’s fine as an assistant. But, yeah, if he were not soulmates with Lewis, it wouldn’t have happened.

Also , if it wasn’t clear, I was being sarcastic in the above post - this is insane, mostly because I am 90% sure he goes back to being marvin’s replacement when the time comes - which was the plan in 2015 before he took the Browns job and proved to be one of the worst head coaches I have ever seen.

Oh, it was very clear.

Figured that if you were smart enough to be able to type, you could not have been happy to have Hue Jackson waiting in the wings.

Some of the fan base are positively spinning it. Battered fan syndrome.

See it in Buffalo all the time. It's a delusional part of being a fan of a bad team - that's why Ralph Wilson is venerated by the majority of Bills fans for "keeping the team in Western New York" - as if he was losing money on the deal.

For fantasy reasons*, I watched the whole game and it was quite enjoyable. Not always the best football, but it was compelling and both teams clearly wanted to win.
