The recent funerals of McCain and H. W. Bush push me in this direction.
When Bush gives Michelle Obama candy it isn't cute.
When Michelle and Barack give pleasantries to Donald and Melania, I get it, but it isn't cute.
When Hillary and Donald are in close proximity and nothing happens, that's not what I've been trained to think.
When Kissinger is invited to McCain's funeral and Meghan is all "America was always great" to subtweet Donald, but aligns with him and Republicans on every fucking thing, and completely disregarding her father's POW status due to politics, my head fucking explodes.
It's all a joke on some level.
Yep. And if Republicans were sure Trump couldn’t win, and still wouldn’t even endorse a Democrat, they’re going to primary him when he’s President and has the power of the Presidency?Johnnie wrote: ↑Wed Dec 19, 2018 12:49 pm Or, it's all a damn game and they secretly are in it together, but have to appear to take sides.

I’m trying to avoid thinking about 2020 too much but it’ll be fascinating if a genuine economic reformer like Sanders or Warren gets the nomination. The one thing that the Bushes, Trumps, McCains, Clintons and Obamas all share is that they’re all extraordinarily wealthy and thus are part of the same social class. That’s why those photos exist of a smiling Hillary warmly embracing Trump and Melania at their wedding. A major party nominee that Wall Street and corporate interests actually fear would be an interesting litmus year.
