It’s totally on-brand that people were talking last night about tortured franchises, and yet no one even thought of the star-crossed Vikings. The second-best franchise winning percentage, but an 0-4 mark in the Big One. While watching the NFCCG last year, I thought to myself at one point “this is only the fifth-worst loss I’ve seen for them at this level.”

‘87: Anthony Carter drops the potential tying TD late vs. WAS.
‘98: That total gut-punch vs. ATL were everything that could go wrong did (Gary Andersen missing his only kick all year, running out the clock in the first half instead of chucking it down to Moss.)
‘00: 41-0 vs. the Giants.
‘09: That untimely yet totally expected late pick by Favre against the Saints.

And it seemed like there were a lot more Charger fans in attendance than in some other games there this season.

Relatively massive end in Philly. So head to head or conference record for out of division tiebreakers?

Stillers got screwed with their pants on. Same ref who disallowed that Calvert-Lewinsky goal made it to NO for the Saints game. Woof.

It is astounding.

And it's clearly a rhetorical question, but how bad a coach is Hue Jackson?

This team is 5-2 under Gregg Williams.

It sure looks like they nailed both their #1 picks with Garrett and Mayfield. If they hire a good coach this offseason then they could be really good in short order.

A couple of good drafts - very unBrowns like.

i actually expected us to shit the bed completely today and we lost by 2 to a good team. possibly win if not for clowney lowering his helmet to give them a free 15. Watson had a couple incredible plays and we clinched a playoff spot. Injuries hurt today, ournWR core is decimated, DT just went down, hopkins is on one leg, fuller is down, lamar miller is down, karedm jackson went down, we have maybe 6 o linemen total left onthe roster so...yeah im ok at 10-5 and with watson you just never feel out od any game. We have a punchers chance, which is more than i havenfelt for this franchise ever. i still think obrien is a shitty coach and playcaller, but thats an offseason problem. right now im hoping we backdoor into a bye somehow if thats still possible

So the refs just baited Andy Reid into challenging a ruling on the field by misnaming the penalty?

TIL that Otto Graham still holds the Browns single-season completion percentage record. When dominance compared to contemporaries and RINGZZZ are accounted for, Graham is pretty underrated in the conversation of all-time great QBs.

If the kicker hadn't missed the chippy against the Steelers that led to the tie they'd be playing for the division next week.

Kitchens was previously on Bruce Arians' coaching staff in Arizona. Arians mentioned this season the only job he would come back to take is the Browns.
