A fine way to get the brain going early this morning.
Did you write this yourself?

More grammar games
The WSJ editors have identified a few sentences that aren't quite right grammatically. Can you spot the errors?
In a lifetime of public service, Phyllis Borzi’s signature achievement was the fiduciary rule, which may never be implemented.
But it is the quality of those miles that matter.
Ms. Jesus had just dyed her hair blond and was carrying her bible.
But most arriving Turks don’t register their presence in Greece, planning instead to head deeper into Europe and further from Turkey.

4. Farther not further. Farther implies actual physical distance from something. I hate sentences that start with But.

1. "might" instead of "may"?

Re: Word Games
That’s the dreaded dangler. The sentence implies the signature achievement had a lifetime of public service.
Re: Word Games
I rewrote it in my head and corrected that, but had no idea how to explain it on a post. If that makes sense.

Re: Word Games
Once again WSJ editorial style mistakes
It measures nearly three inches by five inches, and it's made from enriched flour, corn syrup and creamy peanut butter.
The half—or even quarter—bottle of wine scores points in both the pocket and on the palette.
Most people in the food industry believed the frozen dessert was at lower risk…in part because the bacteria doesn't grow when the food is frozen.
Behind McDonald's Corp.'s worst slump in a decade is a trend that may auger even tougher times ahead

An auger is a boring tool, so unless McDonald's is physically drilling into hard times, this should be "that augurs even tougher times."

2. A palette is a thin board usually associated with painting. They meant palate.

Other two...
Per the WSJ Stylebook, use numerals for measurements: 3 inches by 5 inches.
Because it's not referring to a single strain, the word "bacteria" is technically plural. In this case, it should be written as "bacteria don't" or "bacterium doesn't."
