I can't make out the stadium. Is that the Coliseum prior to them moving to LA?

Re: Worthy of mention, too obscure for own thread
This is still something I think is weird. I think home teams should wear white in all sports.
ETA: to be honest I think teams should wear whatever they want on any day but if we have to have a convention home whites works for me.
My gall is sufficiently mitigated. Thank you for your concern.

https://www.velonews.com/2019/11/news/f ... -83_502685So famous was his repeated failure to clinch the Tour that the phrase “to do a Poulidor” passed into the French language, synonymous with coming an unlucky second. Despite his Tour de France disappointments, Poulidor is forever ranked among France’s cycling greats and at the same time is seen as a humble hard worker loved by the people who earned every one of his many triumphs.

Re: Worthy of mention, too obscure for own thread
So is cycling one of those rare sports where the older generations would probably be just as good as the current generations, if not better? Seems like given that their tech was worse, but they still had to ride up Alpe d'Huez or whatever else Category 1 climb on shittier roads that they may have had to be in better shape than today's riders.
My gall is sufficiently mitigated. Thank you for your concern.

Re: Worthy of mention, too obscure for own thread
It's an interesting question. The natural advancements over time in bike technology, gear, training, diet, doping, rest, research, etc. have certainly had an effect on the sport. Were the older generation doing more with less, and therefore better bikers?
