Nature kids, I/they don't have no function
I don't understand what they mean
And I could really give a fuck
The Stone Temple Pilots,
They're elegant bachelors
They're foxy to me
Are they foxy to you?

You're all fakes, run to your mansions
Come around, we'll kick your ass in.
I've always lumped these two songs together not just because they both contain attacks on 90s rock peers, but due to the out of nowhere-ness of the attacks and where they are placed in the songs.
Beck and Smashing Pumpkins are probably the most critically adored of the targets, so that's a split.
If you prefer your songs to rhyme, then Hanson->Manson->Mansions->ass in just can't be beaten.
Malkmus' lyrics seem to be a little more personal, or more targeted, and therefore more vicious, but the faux-tough guy delivery of "we'll kick your ass in" gets me every time.
No bonus points in this poll for the Billy Squier riff at the end of Range Life.
