The 54th Super Bowl
I did it

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
Congrats buddy. I’ll be rooting for them in 2 weeks.
A subtle little thing the Chiefs might not have noticed and will want to be aware of: even though George Kittle is a great receiver, he really likes to block.

Opening line for the Super Bowl is 0, pick'em.
Total is 52.

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
That sounds about right. I have no feel know who’d I’d wager on simply to win.

The starting left tackle for each team is a first-round draft pick from Central Michigan.

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
Rooting for the 9ers here. Not because of some Bill Simmons insecurity adjacency with a Jimmy G win equaling a Pats pseudo win, but because (Borat voice) my wife is a 9ers fan and I have many other 9ers fan friends.
Regardless though, it's going to be a good game, I think.

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
I want the Chiefs to win to kill the dumb Andy Reid narratives (he couldn't beat the Patriots with Donovan McNabb throwing up everywhere and a hobbled TO! And he couldn't get it done with Alex Smith!!!), but if you give me a pick 'em I'm probably taking San Francisco. Yeah Tennessee can run but they do it in a very straightforward style. I really just can't see KC stopping the 49ers.

Hold on, I'm trying to see if Jack London ever gets this fire built or not.
Re: The 54th Super Bowl
My prediction is the Chiefs win and Mahomes MAGA’s out at the White House visit and that brings about the end times.
Re: The 54th Super Bowl
I was a pretty big 49ers fan growing up (Steve Young is my all-time favorite player) and in the Harbaugh years but this is basically where I am for my rooting interests. I just like Reid and Mahomes a lot more than Shanahan and Garappalo. Shanahan seems like a nice enough guy and is a fantastic playcaller but I will never forgive him for SB LI.Gunpowder wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 10:09 am I want the Chiefs to win to kill the dumb Andy Reid narratives (he couldn't beat the Patriots with Donovan McNabb throwing up everywhere and a hobbled TO! I imagine the SF equivalent of this statement includes Bosa on the back end for many people.

That’s a broken link I can’t see but I guarantee it’s the “Chefs” ad. Classic

Seconded.
And I like the Chiefs at -1.5
I pick up $1,000 from a survivor pool if they win.

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
Do you grate your own cheese or is the store bought stuff okay? More importantly, do you do anything to keep it warm? The frustrating thing with cheese dip is when it gets cold and sucky.mister d wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:39 pm Smoked wings and the super easy (slightly modified) Serious Eats nacho dip over here.
Re: The 54th Super Bowl
I grate, but if you skip the cornstarch it’s effectively the same. We keep it hot by serving into ramekins and keeping the pot itself on the stove.

Ha!!!!
What a fun map. I seriously question the results, I mean "chicken?" Iowa loving stromboli? The Dakotas with pizza sauce and marinara?

Re: The 54th Super Bowl
That is pretty funny. And yes, fruit with any kind of sauce dressing would be fruit salad.

And for Brian and others:49ers will honor him by passing the ball as little as possible.
