So did Dalton know to get a place across the stream from the biggest bad guy in western Missouri or what?

I know this is the middle of bum fuck nowhere, but honestly, that hayloft setup for like $150/mo is pretty fucking sweet.

A lot of my favorite movies begin with a young stud moving into a big hairy guy's spare room—wait, I mean brian's favorite movies, yeah.

Should we pre-emptively ban Jackie Treehorn references?

Brad Wesley. Ben Gazzara dials it up to 11 (in a good way) in this movie. Arguably the only really good acting performance. Even Swayze dials it in IMO.

In case y'all don't know, Swayze being a Houstonian is something we're very proud of no joke. Which makes me not having seen these movies even crazier. I made up for it in Red Dawn viewings.

The original draft had that guy landing and then inviting Swayzee to join him off the coast of Costa Rica on an island called Isla Nublar...

Picking nits, but this is probably Swayze's high ceiling. I'm also not so sure Kelly Lynch could rise much higher.

That "Is she?" kills me. This is one of the only parts of the movie that actually makes sense IMO.

Dalton's speech there is actually correct from a customer service perspective. He violates his own rules at various times in the movie though when it suits him.

Has "take out the trash" ever been used literally in a movie rather than a euphemism for beating up punks?
