I still don’t remember how this movie ends. I assume with an alien abduction?

I'm sure beating the shit out of a rich famous celebrity but not killing him won't have any repercussions.

The soft music to play it as serious is terrific.

Though honestly Gershon's character is probably one of the few semi-realistic portrayals of a bi character in that era.

Yeah, that's the worst big-budget movie I've ever seen. I'm not sure it's really a contest. Ishtar was Citizen Kane compared to that.

So the rape of her friend was the catalyst for her to leave. Or her past catching up with her. What even is narrative?

I might expand on that to say it's the worst movie I've ever seen including 90's direct-to-cable stuff, and I've seen a ton. That movie Jerry Lewis made where he's a clown at a Nazi concentration camp that was never released is probably worse than this, but only like 2%.

Congratulations, guys. You genuinely "exceeded" my expectations here.

I hate that you can only experience these movies once. I can't wait for DSafe and some of you other guys to see The Room. That's the only thing in the same ballpark that I've seen before.

Not sure if you've seen The Room yet or not, but I can vouch the feeling is the same (though the movie is vastly different).

Also, speaking of Berkley...

Like the best of the worst, describing "The Jazz Singer" can not do it justice.

The bumping of this thread had me thinking about when to get the band back together, at least brian and Giff for "Savages", as previously requested. I'm thinking late January or February would work, pending how the return of basketball and hockey go (I expect poorly, as there won't be bubbles for the pro sports and something like 35 college basketball programs are on pause due to the virus). Happy to move it off of Thursday nights or play around with the start time, as needed.

This movie by the way proves the worthlessness of the Bechdel Test seeing as how it’s one of the most misogynistic movies of the last 50 years or so.
