Was definitely pulling for Bournemout as well, but that Villa stretch to escape relegation was really impressive.
Pogba made a pass Earlier in the game that went straight to either rashford or martials chest that was out of this world.

Blecch.

Why do they need those patterns on the white shirt?

And why green? Something that so many teams do - choose away kit with absolutely no colour correlation to the home kit.

So they get more sales every year? You can only do so much with an all white shirt! And hey, I can't walk around in a blue Arsenal away jersey when they are playing in gold, so I need to buy a gold jersey!

Anyone know if there is a way to watch the FA Cup final other than paying for ESPN+? ESPN 2 is showing bass fishing. Fuck ESPN. I get they are trying to get people to pay for their website, but this is just makes me hate them even more.

Brentford even in the Championship seemed crazy.

Even with moving into a brand new stadium, it will be the smallest in the Premier League.

I don't normally complain about officiating, but the reffing in that FA Cup final was ridiculous.

Chelsea had more possession - 60 - 40
Arsenal had a few more shots - 11 - 9
Arsenal had a few more corner kicks - 6 - 4

But fouls and cards? Chelsea was called for 14 fouls to Arsenal's 2. Two. Chelsea was also given 4 yellow cards, including a ridiculous second one to Kovacic which sent him off. Add in three players who had to leave with injuries and it was a tough day for Chelsea.

BTW, if anyone was watching, what was the deal with the Arsenal goalie seeming to grab a ball outside the box relatively late in the game? He was clearly standing outside the box, but maybe he reached back in for the ball? The feed I was watching never showed a replay. It looked pretty obvious to me, but maybe not.

I was following live commentary updates, and they made it seem like it was the right call. Need to go find highlights.

I was looking at the rosters from today's game and the 2017 Final between Arsenal and Chelsea. Pretty amazing, out of the 18 players dressed, Arsenal only had 3 players dressed for both games (Ozil would make 4 still on the team), while Chelsea had 4 players dressed for both games, Willian and Pedro both playing their final Chelsea games today. That is some incredible player turnover. Also interesting that David Luiz and Giroud both played in both games, but switched teams.

I'm not so sure about Willian being done at Chelsea. They've been negotiating that for a while. Both sides want him to stay, but he just wants a longer contract than they're willing to offer.

BTW, I should have mentioned Pulisic's beautiful goal. And he was possibly on his way to another when he pulled his hamstring. That looked really painful. Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Chelsea lost their best defensive player, Azpilicueta, to injury in the first half, and their best offensive player, Pulisic, early in the second. Then Pedro separated or dislocated his shoulder late in the game. It was pretty much a disaster for the Blues.

I loathe both teams so I didn't watch, but I am fascinated by the fact that the hand ball controversy made it to "Malawi Breaking News!"

I'm not surprised, EPL has been huge in Africa for at least 20 years. I have a friend who worked with kids in Tanzania and in the pics he posted, most of the kids either had Arsenal or Chelsea shirts. When I was on the cruise I just mentioned in another thread, we stopped in Tunis and I shared a taxi with a guy from Liverpool. This was a month or so after Liverpool won the Champions League in the greatest comeback ever. The cabbie went nuts talking to the guy about the game, he said the Champions League Final is like a national holiday, work stops and everyone watches.

So its that (1) horrific goaltending, (2) such a rare attempt that you can excuse the goalie for cheating or (3) "suspicious"?

Gorgeous goal to open it up.

Crazy that they'll have to make whatever transfers they deem necessary in a really small window.

Brentford hasn't been in the top flight for 70+ years, and the way they messed this up will have their fans in tears.

They had automatic promotion in the bag - only needed two points against the 16th and 23rd place teams and lost them both.

Brutal.

Apparently they've been in a promotion playoff 9 or 10 times and have not advanced in any of those seasons.

The kids' knockoff jerseys (the hideous 90s neon 3rds) coming the day before the 2nd leg against Real Madrid is either a really good sign or 2020 once again mocking everyone.

All 3 City kits are awesome. Puma makes the best kits, I was psyched when Arsenal went with Puma, too bad it didn't last. Haven't been a fan of any of the Arsenal Addidas kits.
