Unless it does as you hit 50 during a pandemic.

I ain't never been with a woman long enough, for my boots to get old
We've been together so long now they both need to be sewed
If I ever settle down you'd be my kind
And it's a good time for me to head on down the line
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Can't be wrong
I'm the kinda man likes to get away
Like to start dreamin' about tomorrow today
Never said that I love you, even thought it's so
Where's that duffle bag of mine it's time to go
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Can't be wrong
I'm gona be leavin' at the break of dawn
Wish you could come but I don't need no woman taggin' along
So I'll sneak out that door couldn't stand to see you cry
I'd stay another year if I saw a tear drop in your eye
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Can't be wrong
I never had a damn thing but what I had
I had to leave it behind
You're the hardest thing I ever tried to get off my mind
Always something greener on the other side of that hill
I was born a wrangler and a rambler and I guess I always will
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Heard it in a love song
Can't be wrong

I knocked a can of sparkling water over in my fridge but had a pot in my hands so I couldn't stop it, it rolled down, bounced off the shelf below and nailed me in the right testicle. Video would be great but it really fucking hurt.

Tonight I learned Randall Cunningham’s daughter won the bronze medal in the high jump at the 2019 track and field world championships.

ETA: I also learned all women high jumpers are about 6’3” tall and weigh about 120 pounds.

RFK spoke against the increased amount of violence in cartoons during the 60's. After he was assassinated, "Johnny Quest" was pulled from the air and Hanna Barbera rushed "Scooby-Doo" through production.

I was reading a website that discussed the San Francisco Seals of the old Pacific Coast baseball league. Back in the days when St. Louis was the western-most MLB team, the PCL was a pretty big deal to many people.

* At one point, the Cleveland Indians offered to trade their starting outfield for that of the San Francisco Seals. San Francisco turned the offer down.
* Before his contract was sold to the Yankees, Joe DiMaggio played shortstop for the Seals.
* In the post-war 40's, the Seals had greater attendance than many MLB teams.
* In 1946, the Seals' owner attempted to put the Pacific Coast League on a par with the major leagues, paying his players at least the major league minimum.
* In 1947, the Pacific Coast League made a bid to be granted major league status, but was turned down despite favorable response from Commissioner Happy Chandler. As a concession the PCL was given a status above Triple A league, but somewhat short of the Major Leagues.

Salt Lake City had a team in the old PCL from about 1915-1925. But the other owners tired of the travel costs to get here, so the team moved to LA.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Wow!

But maybe there was a backdoor man?
But he did something else in the meantime: after the death of his wife Mary, he married again in April of 1924, at the age of 78. His bride, Lydia Hall, was 28 years old.9 And sure as night follows day, the 1930 census shows the result: a daughter, Irene, three months old.10

Is it just me or are RayCon ear buds sponsoring every fucking thing right now? Several YouTube channels and podcasts I follow (which have nothing to do with each other genre-wise) are just littered with their ads.

As good as a time as any to push them with people working from home on Zoom calls and the potential of kids going through online distance learning again in the fall.

THE NFL is prohibited from airing its content on Friday evenings started at 6 p.m. or on any Saturday from 2nd Saturday in September to 2nd Saturday in December because of the Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 (New York Rep Emanuel Celler wrote it and JFK signed it). Basically keeping the Sherman Act off their back. So the NFL is going to try to fill those slots this fall, but need to get the okay from the Government (and NFLPA).

The government will definitely allow them to get in on Saturdays if there's no college football. There will probably be enough states still playing high school football on Friday nights that it will be better for the NFL to not even ask (not to mention the possibility of diminishing returns from having the NFL televised on five straight days).

Apparently the decision here is going to come this weekend and will be either 1) cancel fall sports or 2) no fans and no concessions at any event (I think immediate family will likely be excluded from the ban)

I know Ohio is going ahead with games starting a couple weeks from tomorrow, but I haven't heard anything about fans. I think family members in attendance while wearing masks would work, but you also have parents who are friendly and used to sitting next to each other at games, and I wonder if it's possible.

We finally headed down to DE this morning to see my parents for a bit. My mom’s birthday is next week and we haven’t seen them since February.

Years ago there was a Wawa on the highway, about a 1/2 mile from their turnoff. The Wawa is long gone but the building is still there, and has cycled through a number of different businesses through the years. This morning I learned that it is currently an adult novelty shop called Bendover (located just outside the state capital). It’s a much classier storefront than you might imagine.
