I am not tired of actual protests. I'm tired of super-helpful white people harassing other people in diners who won't raise their first, or who burn buildings just because they finally have an excuse to tear shit down. Neither of those activities will do a damn thing to reduce police violence.A_B wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 3:43 pmI don't know your crowd, but I sure as shit am not tired of the protests.psunate77 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 3:39 pm I am really depressed today.. He has been standing by the BLM and 1st amendment message the whole time, but people are really getting tired of the protests. I just saw Trump is gaining on Biden in Wisconsin and it's pretty much a dead heat.

And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

I hear ya! The prospect of Trump weaponizing white anxiety over the protests and winning the election has me depressed, too.psunate77 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 26, 2020 3:39 pm I am really depressed today.. The property destruction part, although i guess I’m also not really against making the type of person who seems able to comfortably eat their meal amidst a protest uncomfortable.
Re: 2020 Presidential Election: Joe Biden vs Whoever the Republicans Nominate
I think I mentioned before that I was registered Republican for a long time, until maybe around 2014 or so. I was never super hard-core about it, (I never once voted a straight ticket, for example) but I kept my registration on file until very recently. Anyway, I received an email from my old town's Republican group mentioning they are putting together a summit of sorts of SE PA Republican groups. I just closed off my facebook profile for the public (I'll probably be deleting it completely in about a month), and then emailed back that I was interested in going.

L-Jam, don't forget to bring at least two sidearms, and unopened copies of the Bible and the Constitution.
Did you see that ludicrous display last night?

Why did they invite him in the first place. Not like his views changed.

Something has always been happening in Wisconsin. Pence has always been an asshole.

It was Wisconsin Lutheran College. I'm sure they are pretty much on board with Pence's worldview.degenerasian wrote: ↑Thu Aug 27, 2020 12:16 pm Why did they invite him in the first place. Not like his views changed.

Loving that they included Trump slowly descending the ramp. It's gonna drive him nuts.

There were none of the applause breaks, or forced laugh line. Just seemed like a better way to do things.

Very good stuff.
Although I must say that end shot with the Bidens and Harrises wearing masks is very strange and not inspiring.

Woke up today to be shocked Biden is +15 in the USC-DORNSLIFE POLL.. I know polls are polls, but this the poll Trump said in 2016 was the one real poll and had him winning.
Re: 2020 Presidential Election: Joe Biden vs Whoever the Republicans Nominate
Doesnt feel that way. Biden climbing out his hole and all. Sometimes you just have to let them beat themselves. Doesnt feel good. Doesnt look good. But Biden just needs to keep punting. Id say Trump is starting to get some first downs maybe even points or a TD but the clock is your friend. Keep punting Joe. He will beat himself.

Biden won't be able to "punt" all the way until the election. We haven't seen our last black person shot by LEO's and we haven't seen the last vigilantes going vigilante.
Re: 2020 Presidential Election: Joe Biden vs Whoever the Republicans Nominate
And I don't think it's outlandish to think that leo's shooting black people is part of the plan.

Sometimes I wish I didn't have to be relatively careful on social media.
"Do you think the RNC is bummed about the timing of the Kenosha shooting? I mean... If this had all happened last week they could've added the 17 year old white murderer to the speaking roster in Charlotte."

I murmured in here that Floyd's shooting seemed rather brazen and...planned? Like if you are trying to set something off planned. It got laughed at. It was probably not a great thought. But it crossed my head again after what happened in Kenosha that...just maybe.
