Have you guys heard about this? A bunch of the original cast members and other special guests are going to do a reading of the Princess Bride script on Sunday, September 13 to raise money for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin. My wife signed us up for it yesterday ($27).

This makes me so happy:
Same kind of schadenfreude achieved when iconic bands/artists tell Trump and other bootlickers to stop using their music. One of the movie’s fans, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), lamented on Twitter last weekend that the cast had signed on to a political event.

As a reminder, this is happening today.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

Well, I watched this yesterday. It was pretty good, despite some technical issues. Over 110,000 people watching online. In particular, Mandy Pantinkin, Billy Crystal and Wallace Shawn were great. Patinkin had the original sword from the movie with him, and Crystal has a whole assortment of props with him. They did a Q&A afterwards, and you could tell that they had had a good time doing this.
