All politics aside, this is one of the most surreal things I have ever seen.

I heard this comedian on the Mike Bridenstine podcast, and these are brilliant:
She's done a whole series of them...

The part at 13:14 reminded me of the Swamp thing where we have to put (not dead) in the title when you use someone's name:
And yeah, there does need to be a word for that.

Imagine the feeling being on a microphone singing in front of that crowd. Tom Morello is a fascinating dude, I really like him.tennbengal wrote: ↑Mon Oct 12, 2020 8:17 am Right? I want to hop into a time machine and land in in the middle of that.

Re: Twitter
That is incredible to be sure, but most RATM shows even in the US had pretty similar scenes back in the day. (Though granted only in 20,000-seat arenas and not in a 80,000 person soccer stadium like that.) No live act in my generation ever had the same kind of ability to get a crowd to go nuts like that. Being a part of 20,000 jumping up and down yelling "Fuck you, I won't do what you tell me!" is highly recommended (especially when you're 23 years old).

I am sure.
And the size and the synchornization of that crowd on the floor is nuts.

Re: Twitter
I saw them once and it ranks up there as one of the best shows I've ever seen. The only and only time I've moshed. The only thing that sucked about it was it was a rescheduled RATM/Wu-Tang show without the Wu-Tang.
well this is gonna be someone's new signature - bronto
Re: Twitter
Mike D breaking his arm in a bicycle accident and forcing the cancellation of a summer stadium tour with RATM and the Beasties in 2000 ranks among the most devastated I've ever been by an injury to someone else. That would have been an incredible tour.

I got swept up in a mosh pit for At The Drive In at Coachella some time ago, and, yeah. I'm good with mosh pits.
But seeing it from the outside? Awesome shit.

Re: Twitter
Only time i saw RATM was this tour. They played last and with the house lights on because Wu-Tang incited the lawn seats to rush the pavilion seats. It was pure mayhem and the only way to continue the show per local sheriff was to play with the lights on. Wu-Tang loaded up their bus as fast as the could because they were going to be arrested. Pretty sure a young lady was trampelled that night.
Even with the lights on (and working) it was one of the best shows I have ever been.

I had tentative plans to see RAtM and RtJ this past summer in Quebec City. Thanks for bringing it up, fellas.
