I also want to be clear that if I felt like it, I could absolutely put on a jacket and sign some blank pieces of paper with a sharpie.

Thanks - I should be fine but I'm just hoping I didn't murder that old lady that I caused an accident with. That's my real fear right now.

Damn. What makes you say that? (Like, symptoms alone, or symptoms plus a close contact with a known case?)

Either way, if you think you might have it, assume for now that you do. Isolate and rest. Unless you have an underlying medical condition, you should be fine.

Rass, is getting tested is a big priority? Unless there’s a need for contact tracing, maybe that could wait a few days?
Advice given out in NJ has been to wait 4-5 days from the date of exposure if you think you were exposed but are asymptomatic. If you're symptomatic I don't think there is a reason to wait, especially if you're concerned that others have been or will be exposed to you. The rapid tests are great to prove positives but not so much negatives
To wit, I woke up Sunday without a sense of taste and smell. It came back but I still went and got a rapid test that came back negative. Felt better by Sunday night. Last night started to get a sore throat and today a fever popped. Saliva tests kick off at 3. If I’m positive, my XC team can’t race Saturday which really blows.

Did you kiss her? Tongue?

I think if you just interacted with her outside for a brief time, there is a very minimal risk of transmission.

I can't decide if this means In Florida you have to tongue kiss people you get in fender benders with or that it wasn't a brief time.

Think I mentioned my best friend is recovering from his case of COVID and two weeks later half of his face is still paralyzed from the nerves in his neck being attacked by the virus. It should clear up with time, but this isn't just the sniffles for a week. This is some serious shit.

It took me at least six weeks to fully recover from it.

I guess he's 'golfed', but has he been seen in public in the last week? Not that he's on his deathbed or anything, but I wouldn't be certain he's not experiencing effects.

Late, in fact. Ceremony was supposed to start at 11:11 because of the historical significance of the time of the armistice.

Happy to hear that, but I'd suggest another test in a few days. Been hearing several people who tested negative then later tested positive.

No clue. I was with three people - one of whom had it a few months ago and the others who didn't catch it (or at least it appears that they haven't). I mean it could have been some other time but I doubt it.

Potentially misleading pic given its Staten Island. He might have honestly forgotten his mask this AM and only rejected that one because it was from a black dude.

Positive test rate of 4.8 percent?

We're at over 20 percent out here - and that's for the rolling 7-day average.

My lone remaining friend from high school tested positive (he works as the IT guy for a school district, so that should be super-fun for everyone involved). His family (wife and four kids) gets to join him in quarantine for three weeks.
