Well, it's thicker than a regular sauce (it won't just splash on something like Tabasco or the like), so I was curious if BSF added some to a salsa or did something else.

Making a "huh, we have too many vegetables" soup of onions, carrots, celery, shallots, garlic, tomatoes, cabbage and kale. Do I want to add lentils or beans or just go straight up veggies? Tough call here.

Thanks a lot, assholes. I decided to not add anything to the soup and instead make skillet cornbread and I burned the palm of my hand.

Jesus. Now rass thinks you can just infuse hot sauce by putting it by plate? Northerners are weird.

Didn’t cook it myself. Taco stand in town. They do the prep during the day and then finish on a flat top MTO.

Nothing better than preheating the baking steel for 30 minutes at 550 and then discovering the baking steel is still on the counter.

Replace "baking steel" with 'pizza stone" and I've done that a few times. So frustrating.

Did you get the one JKenji Lopez is all about? I got it and it's been a heatsink in my over for 3 months because I forget it's in there until I open it up.

We've noticed that we've been on a run of 'Kid-Friendly' meals lately. In the last fee nights we've have pizza, tacos, pasta with meatballs, and then last night I made the tomato soup recipe that was on the Defector a few days ago (it was really good!) and with grilled cheese sandwiches.

Maybe I'm devolving.

The only way I am contributing to this thread is posting the work of others, but cooking bagels by getting them slightly wet and then toasting them whole has changed my life.

Nice! That looks great. I'm trying to not get rid of things that are still working for things that are nicer versions of said thing, but I'm ready to ditch the crappy thin slot toaster that my wife had before we were married to either a wider toaster or a toaster oven.

Faster pre-heating for smaller items, so they do save time on those.

My 8oz jar is about half gone. It's a welcome addition to most Mexican things I've been cooking up. Fruity on the front in, good heat on the back end, but not overwhelming.

I've shipped about 50 jars so far this year -- good reviews so far.
Looked into what it would take to set up from home as a bigger side gig or at least something to count on -- was asked if i would sell it at local farmers market - but NJ doesn't have cottage laws that allow it, so can keep doing as is and flying under the radar (even etsy requires you to have some sort of license)

Will be reaching out to a couple of local contacts to rent out their commercial kitchen or at least figure out the cost -- work up some numbers and see what's what.
all of fruit and veggies are either grown by me or local farms.

If you find the right farm and they're willing to work with you, it would probably be a great synergetic use of the uglies and overstock.
