This Knorp kid is starting to really develop a personality, and I love it. The other rookie to watch is the clutch HR hitting Sailer.

And I'm in the middle of the third game and concur... by far the best series of the season.

Maybe Knorp isn't a rookie?

Sailor is crushing the ball and Jimmy Lincecum, as they called Knorp in that series throws filth. That other rookie for that team, (the game 2 starter, I think), has a nasty curve as well. Coughlin on the call was very impressed with it.

The D-backs with their... er, backs against the wall.

This was highly entertaining. Don't skip the 3rd game.

Game three was nuts. Some of Knorp's pitches were utter filth.

Hell of a series by the Dbacks. Had to have it too. Wish they hadn't mic'd Knorp. Seems like a bit of an idiot. Sucked that the Gators were without Jorgensen(sp?). He's been huge for them.

He's a lovable idiot, though.

That one dude came out of nowhere for the 'backs. That said, the pitching was pretty soft for the Gators without Jorgensen on the mound.

It's just great to see these guys like Chapman and others come in and just completely change the complexion of the league.

You know this league's days are numbered. Guys are starting to graduate college and their summers are going to start to dry up. In the next 2 or three years, it will be interesting to see if they can keep recruiting new guys to come in and keep things going.

Jimmy Motherfucking Knorp. But just in general, the Diamondbacks three man team with Knorp, Heath and Wilson are probably the best team in the league right now. If I'm that Gavin kid (manager), I come down with a hamstring injury right quick.[/quote]

ETA - Sorry, chedda, I meant to say I was posting that for the lazy.

One of the things I have enjoyed is just watching the wear of the field. Just reminds me of my best friend growing up. We would play epic wiffleball games day after day after day (he still has years of scorebooks we used to score the games). Still have an issue with my shoulder from blowing it out pitching.

But what I vividly remember because of these videos is the anger from his dad of us wearing down spots in the backyard grass. His dad coming out and demanding we adjust the field so the grass could recover.

I don’t think Warda stepped on third when he scored the game-winning run of the third game. The Magic should’ve appealed that play.

I know, right? I haven't ever followed them in "real time," but I was thinking they better start putting in some double-headers are they're going to be playin in the snow up there.

I like that they announced what school they are attending up front. Had to Google a couple of those schools, and I'm a D3 nerd...

The pitch that ends NLDS game 2 is FILTHY.

As is the pitch that strikes out Dan Schultz in G3 2 inning.

Kind of a boring game. Best of 5. Curious how long it will take them to put out the next game.

Really good match-up, the 1st game scoreline notwithstanding.

Comes down to Kyle S being able to keep these guys from teeing him up. Which, kind of to your point, one of the things they did to the other brother (Gators) was to start timing up his pitches, so that by the end they were just mashing. If this series is all done in one day, I predict the Gators win this thing in 4, maybe 5.

Yeah I think they played these in one day. the league website does put the game day (8/25) but they don't release the box score/stats until after the youtube is live.

WS Gm 2

Not a ton of drama in this one, but it must suck to have the guy ahead of you intentionally walked 2x in a 3 inning game.

They played this over two days - 3 games on D1 and the other 2 (if necessary) on D2.

Slightly different, because they don't have any archival footage of these guys, but the title ("New Kids") sums up the Gators quite well.

Kyle S. is really coming into his own on the production of these things. His portfolio to move into the professional realm is pretty impressive.
