Yeah...Kelsey is in an apartment, with another Autistic woman, and they have 24 hour care. So lots of care-givers coming and going. But so far, no caregivers have tested positive.
An update: Kelsey's housemate has also tested positive. So now they have 2 caregivers who have volunteered to be quarantined with them.

Being told that more or less out of the blue today the NJ DOH decided that the vaccine process would be "paperless". So recipients will need to pre-register online and will be checked in online, and their receipt of the vaccine will be recorded online in a state-controlled portal. Exactly how seniors and/or those of lesser means who don't have access to a smartphone or the internet (libraries are currently closed to the public) are supposed to make that work, who knows? A couple of weeks of planning and purchases based on a paper system up in smoke.

I know my situation is small potatoes compared to some of you, but Korea is going to go into lockdown mode because of the rise in cases peninsula wide. The military has already made the declaration starting Saturday morning.

I'm locked down to base and cannot travel until after the new year at a minimum.

That's sort of my understanding as well. I've mentioned them before, but @kinggutterbaby and @jessicamalatyrivera on Instagram have been fantastic on explaining stuff like this and holding Q&A's. Pretty sure each of them have a lot of good info saved in their stories.

Also, the autoplaying video from Korea is a real nightmare in this thread.

I'll volunteer this experience which may be nothing more than coincidence. My daughter got sick with a cold. Mostly nasal. Then my son got a bit more sick with a sore throat. Enough to get a covid test though. Wife got it last. Not bad but it hung with her longer than the kids and she had it worse. I got nothing. Was between the first and second moderna doses. If you asked me, I'd say that vaccine protests against more than covid, for better or worse. Maybe anything coronaed? Carry on. Do wonder about unintended consequences. I feel like the first shot protected even though wasn't until second for side effects. The entire house got pretty clearly the same illness in sequence and I got nada.

Kunsan will be one of the first 4 Air Force bases to get the vaccine. We're getting the Moderna variant.

It'll be voluntary at first. But every medical person is getting it and they are excited to.

Off thread topic because it's actually funny in a schadenfreude way because he was such a baby about being forced to wear a mask in Santa Clara when calling a couple Niners' games this season:

That's fantastic! I misread it as she got the virus. I have a college friend who is a COVID ICU nurse. She has been posting incredible updates and Q&A sessions on Facebook since the beginning of the pandemic. I thought about sharing them, but they tend to run really long, and to be honest, I didn't fully watch most of them. Anyways, she got the vaccine last week and followed up saying her an all her colleagues found the side effects to be on par with getting a flu shot. A little soreness at the site, nothing else noticeable.
