I think bunker boy threw a fit and said no more pardons after it was suggested he shouldn't pardon himself.
I still think he is going to pardon his friends and family on the way out. Maybe an hour before the inauguration to steal the spotlight from Biden.

Hey I caught a bit of the new conference, but did the FBI say they are looking into money and travel and who sponsored the trips?

If so that is great and hope they follow up with it as Rep Brooks and Justice Thomas's wife could be in some trouble. Wonder if we see Thomas resigning soon?

I'm sure they will look at that, but since the First Amendment directly protects demonstrations and organizing demonstrations and providing transportation to demonstrations, they're going to need something pretty specific to support charges. Ginni Thomas in particular has to be smart enough to avoid saying anything explicit enough to get herself in criminal trouble.

If he is going to resign, it'll have to be REALLY quick for McConnell to get a new Justice in. No way he resigns after Biden in office with a Dem controlled Senate.

Thomas is 72. So I’m hoping that the reduced life expectancy for Black men comes through for us.

Here’s a link to the Article of Impeachment and the House Judiciary Committee Report. The first sections of the Report summarize nicely the facts about Trump’s incitement.

I was thinking about this. Why we've heard so little, and then when we did hear from the JCS, they referred to the insurrection in that memo as a riot. Might this be in order to minimize a further call to arms (even defenders too)?

If BLM stormed the area a block from the capitol and a cop rolled their ankle the rehab would be on Fox News nightly.

Given the hay police departments have made out of funny tasting milkshakes, concrete samples in paper cups, and pavers staged for installation, their silence about the injuries cops sustained on 1/6 is deafening.

Of course it is. We know this was an inside job, and we know the Capitol Police's footprint was massively undersized by design. I'm simply wondering why the JCS chose their words as they did.

We're about to see how coordinated of an inside job it was, because there would undoubtedly be surveillance footage to back up this claim, unless of course, the server(s) that holds the data produced by those cameras were compromised before the meetings took place.

We all think we know this, but an ex-Navy Rep. spelling it out seems like another level. Sherrill is new to politics but she’s legit.

I was wondering about that. The last thing we can afford right now is Dem allegations that turn out to be untrue and let the public focus shift to “both sides making accusations” or disputes about particular details. So I hope (and expect) that she’s careful enough to be sure about what she’s saying.

Yep, she is as legit as it gets. Military background, no nonsense, hard working and not self-promoting. My wife worked with her on a couple matters, and I’ve never seen her more impressed with anyone ever.

So there's many important things to handle legislatively but the democrats want to pursue impeachment? Mcconnell is right... Why would democrats want to lift the anchor that will drag on Republicans for the next 2-3 elections. Democratic majority destined to last 2 yrs.
