Re: The WH Transition Thread --- all things Trump to Biden until Inauguration
The Las Vegas Metro police made a whole dog and pony show about injuries suffered to four police officers after the first George Floyd protest in Las Vegas. The worst of those injuries turned out to be a broken ankle suffered while one officer mobilized to react to the protestors. The other three were all later reported to be "superficial wounds" (i.e. welt and small cuts, the same kind you get when you're trimming your shrubs).Steve of phpBB wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 10:52 pmGiven the hay police departments have made out of funny tasting milkshakes, concrete samples in paper cups, and pavers staged for installation, their silence about the injuries cops sustained on 1/6 is deafening.

Mr. D is correct. She’s the proxy for the blue dogs and it was her announcement to support impeachment in 2019 that gave Pelosi the votes needed to move forward. She’s smart and measured, she’s not a progressive. There’s a reason she’s the one putting out this info rather AOC or Presley.Steve of phpBB wrote: ↑Tue Jan 12, 2021 11:29 pmI was wondering about that. The last thing we can afford right now is Dem allegations that turn out to be untrue and let the public focus shift to “both sides making accusations” or disputes about particular details. So I hope (and expect) that she’s careful enough to be sure about what she’s saying.

(Also, what's going to drive McConnell and other GOPers to likely convict Trump in the Senate trial is going to be the money spigot being turned off from these large corporations and literally nothing else. Still, for that reason I hope they keep the pressure up in weeks and months ahead).

This is insane. It also suggests there might not be any surveillance video to support the congresswoman’s claims that certain members of congress were giving insurrectionists walk-throughs on January 5th.

Fully aware, but wanted to throw that in there. But the hypocrisy of Fox News and the right on this is nothing new. When it's convenient to paint the police as the last line of defense against Marxists and "radical Black protestors" they're heroes. When it's police trying to stop Goober T. Buttfuck from snapping Nancy Pelosi's neck, it's crickets. Not sure why anyone would expect otherwise.

Pretty sure when panic buttons get removed, they first need to be disabled at the control center that monitors them, or else their removal triggers an alert when they stop responding. Notifications that trigger further alerts up the chain to emergency responders. Coordination here suggests compliance from Building & Information Security personnel.

Don't think so. He also doesn't want a viable trump beating or taking notes from traditional Republicans come 2022 and 24. The guy will get 20% of the republican vote unless they cut him off and might be enough to beat out or at least determine a winner in a primary against a guy like Romney.EnochRoot wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:15 amThat’s the only thing that lifted his head from his shell.brian wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 9:13 am (Also, what's going to drive McConnell and other GOPers to likely convict Trump in the Senate trial is going to be the money spigot being turned off from these large corporations and literally nothing else. We need to monitor extremism so that white supremacy can be adequately tracked. You know, in places like law enforcement.

Are insurrectionists really posting this shit online? Is this a mole? I can't believe there's video of this.

wasn't a ton of it posted triumphantly on-line in the hours after the insurrection? And...the Parler hack maybe made a lot of it available?

I think that video was taken by a journalist. Around the 1:24 mark, he asks the leader "what's going on, give me some narrative." It looked like another woman in the room was also filming with her phone. I'm sure lots of insurgents or lookie-loo protestors who followed the mob in were filming either to brag to their Parler friends or document their glorious coup.govmentchedda wrote: ↑Wed Jan 13, 2021 10:48 amAre insurrectionists really posting this shit online? On that one, the person with camera asks "what you are doing" at one point? Maybe a journalist?

Just going to circle back... Really hope Mikie has some solid proof of that accusation. Because if not... Super not helpful right now.

Most true journalists wouldn't say "give me some narrative."

Re: The WH Transition Thread --- all things Trump to Biden until Inauguration
I posted this yesterday and will again.. This photo was posted on Lauren Boebert's Instagram the day before the Capitol attack. 3 of them have already been arrested.
Again, why hasn't she been looked at yet?

I guarantee you they are investigating. The FBI isn't going to take down a sitting Congresswoman (or announce their investigation) until they have all the ends tied up. You won't hear a peep until she is in cuffs. I should say, you won't hear a peep from the FBI or DOJ, you will hear unsubstantiated chatter from media of both sides.

I've also read that the photo is from last year, was taken in Colorado, and was not on Boebert's Instagram.
If the part about the arrests is correct, though, it's sure a funny coincidence that they happen to be the ones with the White Power signs. (Which makes me suspect the accuracy of that part of the story too.)

Regarding Steve Scalise and his stance on the Capitol metal detectors, I could do a really good photoshop of him + the last line of Prodigy's verse in "Drop a Gem on Em" but it would come off looking like a personal threat versus an objective statement and I'd end up on a watch list. But it would be good.

They are children. Worse than children, really. Children, for the most part, follow rules and tend not to bitch about everything.

Hey, this light surprise you, but all three of those Senators are white guys in their 60s.

Switched my party affiliation today. Was told I was over the 100th to do so in my county since last week. Read the neighboring county is up to 120.
