Just bought a 6 of Maudite last week - i'm not much of a beer drinker but Unibroue Belgians have been my go-to for years.

Love those TJ-broues. Oddly enough at altitude I haven't had too bad of corksplosions.

I have yet to try anything from Unibroue that was less than really good.
Yeah, completely agree. Trois Pistoles was my favorite, but it's been many years. Need to revisit. I think TJs had a sampler pack for dirt cheap, Trois Pistoles, Maudite and La Fin du Monde.

And I had an Avery sour (2017 Amiticia) Friday night. Aged in Cabernet barrels. Absolutely amazing beer. Wine and oak really came through,

Anyone got something for Drambuie. Bit sweet on its own but other brown liquor long gone from the cabinet. Like March again trying to isolate.

My delayed-by-shipping Christmas gift from my brother turned out to be a bottle of Oban Distiller's Edition. Never had even the standard version before, so I feel like I need to do something ceremonial before drinking.

Smooth Ambler* Old Scout AMERICAN Whiskey, in front of a struggling fire in a fire place in an otherwise dark room as my wife loudly participates in a work zoom meeting in another dark room upstairs and my old dog snores.

This is the correct answer. Heady got all the hype and fame, but everyone I've ever discussed it with prefers FB.

Next time you're out here, Syb. They sell it at my local grocery store (as well as the other Russian River beers). One thing I respect is that if a bottle sits on the shelf for a month, they are under orders to send it back (one never sits for a month, though.)

I drank the Focal Banger and enjoyed it immensely then went to a bar with some friends and saw a girl I knew at another table so got up to say hi and instantly the bar owner jumped on me with "Maybe you're not aware there's a global pandemic..." and then went on to blame the 400k deaths and the fact that he could barely keep his 20 employs on "people like me" and I was like "dude, all you gotta do is ask me to sit back down" and he was all like "you're telling ME how to run MY bar" and had already decided at that point that I was never going back there so pointed to a few other people that were clearly away from their tables and observed that "maybe they also don't know there's a global pandemic" at which point he booted me. Anyway, I take omens for what they are and am now into Dry-rebruary.
