J-lo with This Land is Your Land - putting me in mind if the movie Airplane - that was song the stewardess sang when she kept popping the IV out of the girl.

And Trump officially no longer has the nuclear codes.

If I flew an American flag in my yard/on my house, I’d rearrange it to right-side up.

You have the right Super Bowl (50). Some writer at a pop culture website is scouring YouTube for her performances of the anthem to post a rankings list today.
On election day, I told my wife we weren't putting the American flag out until inauguration day. We've had the 19th Amendment Victory Flag up for months.

So this piece of info made me happy. The press was on Air Force One for Trump's final flight, and apparently Jim Acosta was peppering Trump with questions about whether he regrets the Capitol insurrection.

Re: Happy Inauguration Day (and beyond- The Biden Presidency Thread part I)
I'm a bit surprised that very few of the Trump flags in my neighborhood came down after January 6th, but OTOH, if you are going to the length of buying and flying a Trump flag, you are too far gone to care about the attempted violent overthrow of Democracy. Almost all the Trump signs came down very shortly after the election.A_B wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 12:55 pmI took down the Trump signs. In my liberal enclave, there was only one Trump sign, and not even on our block. The Sybian wrote: ↑Wed Jan 20, 2021 12:59 pmI'm a bit surprised that very few of the Trump flags in my neighborhood came down after January 6th, but OTOH, if you are going to the length of buying and flying a Trump flag, you are too far gone to care about the attempted violent overthrow of Democracy. Lots of Biden signs, which was a big departure from prior elections, when no one had Obama or Clinton signs.

Amanda Gorman has me wondering about a goatee, a black sweater and a trip to Greenwich Village.
I mean, all that was missing was the jazz trio.
She was brilliant.

My redneck neighbors left their Trump sign in the yard after the election but took it down after the Capitol coup. I guess they have some scruples after all (barely). I'm waiting for LA to get home and a large glass of an old fashioned with very good bourbon to take our sign down

Nah, Biden should have trolled him Trump style.
"Poor Dopey Donald. That's what I call him, Dopey Donald. Could you imagine if I lost to him, I would have to leave the country. But I didn't lose. I won, and like by a lot. It wasn't even close, a land slide in fact. Lock him up I say."
