Whenever I see Douglas Murray it makes me think of that Coaches Corner from the playoffs a few years back when Don joked about Douglas' Scottish ancestors impregnating innocent Swedes during a Highland games event held in Scandinavia. I thought when I was watching it that I might be witnessing Don's last ride, but he reeled himself in before he went too far.

And this:
Senators owner Eugene Melnyk believes Pittsburgh Penguins forward Matt Cooke intentionally injured Ottawa defenceman Erik Karlsson and is conducting an investigation to prove it.

Melnyk told Prime Time Sports on Wednesday that he is in the midst of carrying out a forensic study that will prove Cooke’s incident with Karlsson was intentional.

I'm being generous and only want him to disappear for the rest of the season. Maybe he'll get better before next season.

No, I really don't believe that, either.

My ESPN Scorecenter app just said Iginla was traded to Pittsburgh for Kenneth Agostino, Ben Hanowski & a 1st round pick.

Is it there or Boston? (ESPN.com & SI.com still say Boston)

ETA

NHL.com says Pittsburgh.

ETA 2

Everything else is coming up Pittsburgh. Damn.

SL must hate that Dupuis has two goals tonight. Though one of those was SH, and he could have done that on the third line. Apparently Byfuglien just gave up on that play.

Douglas Murray walks into the Pens locker room and introduces himself to James Neal.

Doesn't it look like Murray just drank a 12 pack before coming into the locker room?

Sooooooooooooooooo booooooooooooored. C'mon guys!

Better play from last night (each with a basketball-like description):

1. Datsyuk's crossover undressing of Logan Couture

2. Crosby's no look pass on a goal by Kunitz (you need to watch to the end for the best angle)

Yeah, I think I'm going (1) also, but it's too bad the Wings couldn't score there to put it no question over the top.

Well, the Sharks have won four in a row to move into 6th place in the West, but they still look to be dumping older guys who'll be UFA, and looking to the future. First, Douglas Murray to Pittsburgh. Then, this morning, Michal Handzus to Chicago. And, now, Ryane Clowe is not dressing for tonight's game. Rumor is that they have just about finalized a deal, but we don't know the suitor - Boston? Philly?

Sorry your guy appears to be leaving the Sharks, Sabo, but maybe you can see him more often if he moves to the Eastern time zone.

Steve, Handzus is a good checker, shot blocker, shootout and faceoff man. Not much offense, though.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure he was on the Hawks a few years ago. At this point, I'm happy to put my faith in Quenneville. He seems to have the magic touch these days.
And his one problem is he didn’t go to Russia that night because he had extracurricular activities, and they froze to death.

The Pens were supposed to be wearing their dark blue alternate sweaters (from the Pittsburgh Winter Classic) for the final time tonight (word is that they are working on a new third for next season), but after Crosby's injury on Saturday in those sweaters that is off, the kit is officially defunct. That was Crosby's second major injury in that sweater, and (at least) one of Malkin's injuries this season happened while wearing them, too.

Bob McKenzie of TSN reporting that Clowe to Rangers deal being finalized, with price likely being 2nd and 3rd round picks + another 2nd, conditional on re-signing.

Clowe has Iginla-like control over his destination, and supposedly he vetoed a move to Vancouver.
